Yes she made the right choice and a lot of people (delena fans) say that she didn't choose the right Salvatore brother because she said"maybe if I met you first" then the flashback happened and they did meet first. i think she made the right choise but i think every 1 think damons hot and because damon was nice for 1 season because stefan was bad dosnt mean he changed he loves her but she said to him i love u damon but thats why i have to let u go what her mom said to her what she thought about matt if she loved him as much as every delena fan says she wouldent have said no and chois stefan. and btw she said maybe if we met first not if we met first
I think endgame will be elena and damon. If the stelena fans thinks they have epic love there crazy. When there together it reminds me of a real good friend ship. They have no passion and no chemistry. Stelena = boring!!! It hasnt said much about her relationship with matt when they dated but when they did show a little of elena and matt, it remind me alot of her and stefan. I am how ever glad she choice stefan bc now I can look forward to the end of stelena. This only gives delena more time to grow and get deeper with there love for the endgame. So yes stelena fans you won this around. Hope you enjoy what you have seen with stelena together. Bc Im seeing alot more delena moments in the up and coming seasons.

i think that no matter what Elena will always have feelings for both Stephan and Damon. i think that Stephan kind of desreves her because- hes never stopped lovingher, and he loved her first, and they have been through so much and still love one another. i think what they have is different from what Damon and Elena have.
They both love her, but in different ways. though i do think that Damon and Elena should have a chance to be with each other. but elena's love for stephan could never vannish. She feels strongly for both but some how loves them differently, and she doesnt want to loose either one of them.
Stephan needs to feel hurt- like Damon for a while. Making the show intense and keeping us fans on our toes.
So elena and Damon could have a chance, and Stephan needs to feel this pain, who knows maybe Damon and Elena will be together for good-- IF Stephan finds another girl in the end.

I'm sort of conflicted I think Elena made the wrong choice because she is in love with Damon but I think she made the right choice for her as a human. Plus, it is a little more realistic because stefan/Elena still need closure before Delena can really happen. DELENA ALL THE WAY!!!!

I say yes she made the right decision. I don't understand while damon and elena were talking on the phone why didn't he say well I did meet you first but I compelled you to forget you ever met me.
Well, If everyone remembers.. As with Caroline being compelled before becoming a Vampire she started to remember everything. Damon during the end was seen to actually be the one to meet her first but he compelled her to forget him. Also with the favorite part when he returns the necklace he has compelled her again. These being huge moments for Damon and Elena will all come rushing back.

Anyways I am not happy yet that Elena chose Stefan. I guess I am still worried that they might not be endgame. Someone here made a point that the writers are coming up with a contrived attempt to keep the "triangle" going and I totally agree with that. I guess I have to continue watching the show to see what happens next. But I personally am not impressed yet about Stelena being together. Its just not the right time for them to reunite imo.
Epic love yeah right, your deluding your self if he was her epic love she never would have fell for Damon in the first place! I'm sorry but the writers picked the worst possible outcome for the show with ratings already going lower there gonna lose more fans, I personally will still be watching because no way is it the end of delena but I know very soon it will be the end of Stelena as there is only so much of them one show can have, even Paul Wesley can't stand them together, says it all to be honest!

No, this was a predictable choice for the writers and honestly, it lost me as a vewer. I've had to endure stelena for 3 years and I am just OVER them. I'm over Damon losing too. So yeah, not the right decision and I won't be continuing with this show.
People contridicting themselves because elean thinks she met stefan first that's why she 'chose' him although there was noe definete choice if I'm honest, she picked the wrong one stefan doesn't consume her like damon does, he makes her feel alive something she admitted! She chose the safe option, not the one she truly wanted...you'll see that if she turns in S4 because she'll go on impulse not what her head thinks she wants but her heart so enjoy it while you can because that episode basically proved there gonna be endgame :P Delena belong together and Stelena fans are just going to have to deal with it we've had to but up with basically 3 seasons of them :(
Elena absolutely made the best decision. It does not matter that she met Damon first because she fell in love with Stefan. If she does become a vampire and remembers everything, that doesnt mean her feelings for Stefan are going to change. Even when she remembers when Damon compelled her to forget him telling her that he loves her, she was already in love with Stefan at the time. If she does become a vampire, her feelings for Stefan are only going to become heightened. She didnt choose Stefan because she felt like she 'owed' him. That wouldnt be fair to her or to either of the brothers. She clearly made the decision solely based on her feelings. When they first met, Damon told her that what she wanted was a love that consumes her and he compelled and told her that he wants her to get everything that shes looking for. What shes looking for and what Damon thought she wanted are two different things considering the decision she made. I would say what she was looking for was someone like Stefan. A love that makes you happy that youre alive. Even if Damon had stepped up and told Elena that he had met her first, she wasnt just going to fall out of love with Stefan and choose Damon all of a sudden. It wasnt meant to be. She was meant to get into that accident and Stefan was meant to save her. If Damon truly loves her like he says he does, then i hope he allows her to be happy with the choice she made. Making that decision was a very hard thing and not an easy decision to make. What she realized was that if it wasnt for Stefan, she wouldnt be alive today and she wouldnt have had the chance to meet either brother. When Damon said that 'it will always be Stefan' and she responded by saying that she cant think about always, only right now because as a human she knew that eventually if she didnt become a vampire she wouldnt be able to continue a relationship with Stefan. So for right now, she needed to be with him. So now if she becomes a vampire, she has more time. Not saying that shes gunna become Katherine #2 and play around with both, but she might think things through a little more thoroughly because of her new found time. With all that being said, I think its only fair that Elena be with Stefan, the person she fell in love with, not the person she met first.
OMG!! That flashback seen was awsome!!! I am so a huge Damon fan. I believe that he truely loves Ellena all consuming that like he said to Stephan, to protect her, he is willing to lose her. Can Stephan say the same. I don't think so. I also loved the way he was when Rick died!
The triangle has become so contrived, who cares whether Elena chose the "right" Salvatore. The phone conversation with Damon was, in many ways, a set up for their ridiculous first meeting at the end of the episode (really?..."maybe if I'd met you first..." and then, miraculously, a flash back where she meets Damon before she meets Stefan). So, human Elena loves Stefan (and it will always be Stefan), and the writers are throwing Delena fans another freaking bone by suggesting that vamp Elena might care for Damon. It doesn't feel real to me - it feels like another attempt to keep the "triangle" alive. I started this show as a Stelena fan, but became intrigued by the Delena pairing because of the way the writers were subtly pushing that possibility. Do I feel manipulated by the writers - you bet - but I was a willing victim of the manipulation, so I can't be too upset about being jerked around by the show. Yes, I know that the viewers have consistently been told that Stelena is the epic love story of the show, but I also believed them when they showed the cracks in that facade. After tonight's episode, I don't believe them anymore. For those who love Stelena - congrats on having your ship validated again. For those who like Damon (notice I didn't say Delena), let's hope that the writers give him a real relationship next season with someone who willingly chooses him - and not just because it's his turn in some BS "triangle."
Even if she did meet Damon first, she said that it was because Stefan came into her life when she needed someone the most. Meanwhile, Damon did everything in his power to make her hate him. Even if he had been the one to come into her life after her parents died, the person that he was at the beginning of the series is not the person that Elena has come to love. Not only that, but he was still obsessed with Katherine. It took Katherine breaking his heart and him realizing that she's no good him, as well as Stefan constantly pushing him to embrace his humanity for Damon to finally began changing as a person.
So, it would not have mattered if she remembered meeting Damon first. His attitude and his motives would not have allowed her to fall in love with him.

Elena made a mistake by choosing someone just because he saved her and she 'met him first' she even went on to say to Damon that 'if only I met you first...' which is ironic because then we see a flashback of Damon meeting her. I'm guessing that when she becomes a vampire, she will remember that and realize that she certainly I'd meet him first. So, even if she has chosen Stefan, it's still not the end of Delena and never will be. :)
