IF the author really catches me with an awesome blurb or excerpt, I'd pay up to 5.99 for a new author. If it sounds pretty good, but I'm not one hundred percent intrigued, I'd probably be okay between $2.99 and $3.99

I prefer not to pay more than $2.99 for an ebook, by an author that I have not read their books before. But then again it could all depend on how well the story seems to be.
$3.99 I feel is a great price for a new book by a new author to me. If I wanted to read it, I'd pay for it.

If I can keep it under five bucks I'm good. That is the maximum I want to spend on any ebook.
I the story is written by a new author to me, I probably wouldn't buy the story if it was more than 5.99
