Joshua sounds like a cat in an alley late at night!! He couldn't even just sing his final song, he had to go to the judges with drama and then go to his momma for drama and drag her on stage for more drama!! Too much, over the top, yelling, screamming!! Good Bye Already!!

America got it RIGHT ON DA MONEY!! Send Joshua back to Popeye's chicken with Taylor Hicks!! J-Lo's standing ovations?? Established recording artists don't even get that many standing ovations!!

Jessica ever since she sang "I Will Always Love You", was the clear cream of the crop. Best Voice period. Will have a great career!! Joshua will be serving spicy chicken!!

  • Symun Cow - 12 years ago

Joshua was pure RUBBISH!! Simply RUBBISH!! Was he having a seizure or was he on crack when he sang?? Too much, too over the top, too much screaming, yelling etc.

He's this year's Justin Juarini. You will go to Popeye's chicken and see Joshua and Justin serving people.

Jessica and Colton will have the best careers from this year's Idols!! America got it SO RIGHT ON!! Go America!!

  • Barb - 12 years ago

I think absolutely without a doubt the 2 right kids were selected!!! Jessica can SING! And Phillip has such a unique voice, he is fantastic.

Joshua on the other hand???? WTF are these judges thinking saying that this kid is the best Idol has ever had? Huh???? Alls what he does is scream, screech, and YELLLLLLLLL into the mic! He is AWFUL!!!!!!!!!

Can someone please explain to me HOW they think he can sing?? It is beyond me. I know the judges always say they hear differently in the studio then we do at home, but come on...he is so bad that I would have to mute every time he came on my tv.

And his rendition of No More Drama was sooooo freakin bad, he didnt sing at all! He just SCREAMED! Go watch Mary J. and she sings the song!

  • Leon - 12 years ago

I am glad Joshua was sent home. Jessica is a true artist and age does not matter. She sings hard songs with perfection and has a velvety voice with excellent diction (clear) that resonates to the audience.

  • AimsMcB - 12 years ago

Do you guys know why Phillip hasn't been in the Ford commercials?? Google "Phillip Phillips Health Problems" -- he has to have some sort of surgery to do with his kidney's, gallbladder and liver!! He wants to get this done asap when the shows over so he can join the rest of the Idol's on the tour. He has been in intense pain so excuse me if you think he was "Boring" or "didn't run around the stage enough" the dude has been in and out of the hosp.!!!

  • AimsMcB - 12 years ago

I think the 16 yr. old girl should have went home to put the real champs in the boxing ring! (so to speak) She has years to go, and Josh was really good. I prefer Phillip, but Josh was 2nd as far as I am concerned.

  • michele - 12 years ago

I have loved Phillip since his audition. Jessica is young and has a beautiful voice and will get better as she matures. Joshua was good but he sounded too much like he was screaming when he tried to do the higher notes. I look at it like if I bought the album how many songs do I think I would actually listen to. Phillip - probably all or atleast most of them, Jessica - probably a couple same with Joshua. Erika & Elise I think I would like quite a few of their songs. "Chauncey" why does race have to play a part? People like you need to figure it out - race doesn't always have anything to do with the way things turn out. It's people like you that cause it to be there and then cause all of the anomosity amongst the races. Right now you would stand a better chance of getting something for nothing than a white person from employment to grants for college.

I am so disappointed that Josh was eliminated. His "swan song" was awesome as is he! I really thought Josh deserved to win.

  • Go Jessica Sanchez - 12 years ago

Joshua deserved to go home!! Over the top, over drama, broadway type singer!! He just screamed and shouted, danced like a duck and J-Lo would give him a standing ovation!!

Joshua is like the many that butcher the National Anthem and make it 10 minutes long, because they want to put on a show instead of being honored to sing for the country.

Joshua is as bad as Justin Juarini and Taylor Hicks!! America knew exactly what it was doing sending Joshua home!! Go Jessica Sanchez!!

What everyone is forgetting is this is about sales and marketing! Their voices and ability has gotten them to the top three. Now it is about the masses and their appeal to the the people that buy the music. Joshua did not connect to masses on the screen. As Phillip joked around with him he responded in a very put out manor like he was to good to joke around. Maybe it was just nerves but even compliments were taken with attitude. Jessica is young, but molding her into a top performer would be easy because of her youth. Remember the bottom line is sales at this point. The people voting may be young girls but they are also the developing market in sales known as the Millenial customer. Let's get real it's all about sales now!

  • Cali Tsalagi - 12 years ago

This was the toughest season because almost everyone in the top twelve deserved to win. Of course, only one can. But hey, they all get to go on tour this summer and most, if not all of the top ten will get recording contracts and the opportunity to live their dreams further in the music world. Elise was my favorite and I know she will do fine. I hope she and Phillip hook up because they compliment each other and I just love that jazzy, bluezy rock n roll kinda of music! I have no opinion as to who I think should win....it will be interesting come the finale. As far as I am concerned EVERYONE WON!

  • KRG - 12 years ago

Of the 3 that were left, America made the right choice in sending Joshua home. He can sing but only to a certain point. Sorry but he has a problem with being overwrought and you could tell he was a bit conceited. Phillip Phillips may not be the best singer but he makes a connection with the audience, which is more than I can say about Joshua. People were not in awe of his vocal ability but his overplayed antics on stage. Joshua was just not that great. Granted, America did not get it right from the get go.....Erika and Hollie should have been in the top 3 with Jessica. Jessica has an amazing voice but I think Phillip Phillips might win the whole thing since he appeals to a broader audience.

  • Chauncey - 12 years ago

I like most, am absolutely outraged by the outcome and until AI can come up with a fairer way of voting, I will never watch this show again and will encourage everyone that I know to do the same. Obviously, true talent does not enter into the equation...Joshua, I am so sorry!!!
Also, it does appear that another factor may enter into the equation. Has anyone other than myself noticed that a Black male has not won AI since Rubin Studdard? As long as this method of voting remains as is, it will never happen. Shame on you AI and Joshua, please keep the faith because things will happen for you in spite of this show as they did for Jennifer Hudson. You certainly deserved better.

  • ivette - 12 years ago

So many negative feedback about Phillips. He's a true talent, different unique etc. Joshua was great as well but he will do fine in the music industry someone will sign him.

  • C.Johnson - 12 years ago

Almost, forgot, Joshua, I will be looking forward to you first CD! you got a long future in the music industry, Just remember who got you there and always give him the glory!!!

  • C.Johnson - 12 years ago

It should be called America Populaity, not America Idol. Joshua was clearly the most talented. After years of watching idol, you can pretty much predict the winner when it gets down to the last 4 or 5.

  • Mike - 12 years ago

I think they got it right. Josh is, indeed, a huge talent for his genre, but most of mainstream America isn't that much into gospel oriented growling and screaming..its good for a song or two, but I can't imagine many people putting on a pair of headphones and listing to it for any great length of time.

  • Clay - 12 years ago

I will watch the finale as Joshua will be given a last showcase, but then I am done, done, done with American Idol. It is just inane to go on when it is apparent that the show picks not the best voice, that we will hear on the radio, but the best looking caucasin male contestant. Phillip Phillips is a good musician, he'll make it on the jam band circuit for certain. But Joshua is a transcendant singer who has stage presence, and a vocal range 3x that of Phillip's. I'm not certain what genre Joshua enters, but he will be one of the greatest voices we have ever heard.

  • LARRY J PECK - 12 years ago

Every yeaar I fall for this same thing from American Idol, and get disappointed at the end...yet every year I tend to stay with it, if there is a really special voice coming up thru the ranks! I felt that way for Joshua this year! He is one of the best ever on the show, but rarely does the best win!! Yes, I know he will get a great contract, and outshine all of the others from this year..BUT, what about us, the viewers...we keep the show going by watching...but at the end we suffer the "smack in the face"! The other two singers aren't even on the same level as Joshua, and actually should have left the show back earlier from the top ten...they should have never ended up in last night's show!

I have been very careful NOT to label any show as being fixed, but not in this case...I DO think that the votes are maniulated by Idol's producers...and I think that Joshua's exit song/performance was a 'practiced event'...having said that, perhaps they all practice their exit in case they are the one voted off...I don't know! All I am sure of is that, in my opinion, and to my taste JOSHUA should have won!

I won't watch the Final Show because the remaining two DON'T entertain me, nor appeal to my taste! The best part of last night's show was the performance of ADAM LAMBERT...who also should have won the season he came thru Idol...but that's another story!

For this of you who will still watch, I hope that you have a pleasant experience...and hope that you enjoy next's week's final show!

  • tommy - 12 years ago

Joshua is the best singer by far. His voice is unique and beautiful, and his artistry is impeccable. Jessica has a beautiful voice, but, she became boring . She hasn't found her own niche yet. She needs more seasoning. Philip is rather bland and forgettable. He'll probably win because of his looks. But, I think he'll soon be forgotten , unlike Joshua and Jessica, and, perhaps Skylar.
Don't worry, Joshua. Who wins isn't what matters. It's who gets the career and contract that really counts.

  • lauren jones - 12 years ago

Back when Jennifer Hudson was voted off, i vowed never to watch american idol again. Look at her today. Probably the biggest success from American Idol. Since then, I hadn't watched an episode until i heard about Joshua. Pure talent and not so amateur like Jessica. She's always trying to be a powerhouse and has no variety, it's the same thing over and over again and she's still just to young. Phillip and Joshua should have been the finalist. Two very different singers with two very different styles. Yes Phillip maybe "boring" sometimes, but he sings a variety and not always big songs which some people just don't get. Jessica on the other hand is always screaming and its getting a bit old. Very disappointed in the results. Jessica shouldn't have been saved in the first place, she has a career already (maybe). I will not be watching the show again, it just doesn't give credit to the better singers. its just another popularity contest.

  • Simon - 12 years ago

Phil Phillips deserves to win. The dudes a real musician.

Jessica is a solid runner up..and I would love to date her. HOTTIE! ..even though she is young. Hey Jessica, call me when you turn 18.

  • McQuaid - 12 years ago

Every year, I think that talent might win out, but every year recently I am disappointed that the vote seems to be swayed by teenage girls who could not tell talent from a squeaky wheel. Philip has been boring for weeks. He has no style and looks like a slob. It is such a shame that Joshua was sent home as he has talent that outweighs the finalists combined by a long shot.

  • ynneg - 12 years ago

Seriously, I thought Philipp will be out because, the way he sang I saw no big effort. He simply sang his songs from the inception till the final three. However, I respected those who voted for him coz in fairness he also had a star quality. But Jessica she's a versatile singer being a sixteen years old her vocal is very good and I do believe she will improve when she's on top!!!

  • Tammy - 12 years ago

    Joseph,
You are entitled to your opinion and I am sure you are probably right, but deserving of the AI title? No she isn't. With some coaching and another run at Idol, maybe she will be ready. Out of the two that are left, I think Phillip is the one that deserves the AI title. He is unique and that is always a good thing. Had I had a choice in the whole competition, I would have said that DeAndre was more deserving of the title than any of them. He knows how to touch the audience and he knows how to sing. On top of that, he connects on a level that the other singers did not. I also think that Erika Van Pelt was very good and should still be in the competition. Just my opinion. We are supposed to be looking for talent...not someone who sings karaoke, which is what Jessica does. She sings the songs like they were sung by the person who originally came out with them and does nothing to have her own style. What's it going to be like if she gets a contract?

  • Pat - 12 years ago

I don't get why Jessica is even still there. Her singing is so forced, and so often off pitch. She just doesn't have it yet.

  • louis - 12 years ago

I seriously don't believe it. Phillip phillips should not have reached this far nor Hollie. Skylar, Jessica, and Joshua should have been here but anyways that is the way the cookie crumbles. Like people have said the majority voting demographic is young teens. P2 as AI champ... possibility. Do I think it's right no. Will I watch next season of AI... yes. Don't blame the judges for their false critiques, blame the people that don't vote!!

  • joseph - 12 years ago

tammy ur still here??? hahahaha! i knew it from the very start that phillips and jessica will be in the final 2.... i won't say much now cos i know ur heart is bleeding ryt now hahahaha... last word.... JESSICA!

  • Tammy - 12 years ago

I agree with Robin! Joshua and Phillip both have a style that is all their own. They both have qualities that Jessica does not. She is not anywhere near ready to be a pop star, too immature and does not know how to connect with the audience the way Phillip and Joshua do. I am highly disappointed in the judges and the way they try to sway votes to one person. The judges are supposed to be impartial to the contestants and this is just not what I have seen on the show. When Jessica was eliminated, she should have been sent home and not saved. I do agree that she is talented but to say that she is ready, I cannot. I do not have any desire to buy her records if she gets a contract as I do with Phillip or Joshua. We, the people need something that is different and Phillips provides that. I wish Joshua the best and hope he gets that contract like some of the top 10 have already gotten! Good luck Phillip I do so hope you are the next AI!

  • Cel - 12 years ago

I expected that the top 2 would be Jessica and Josh who is a better singer than Philip. Between Jessica and Philip, Jessica is the much better singer and I hope she wins. These said, I wish all top 3 great success.

Among the three judges, I consider Steven as the most objective. It seemed that Jennifer and Randy were rooting for Josh, and for Philip as well. Judges should be impartial and give credit to whom it is due. Philip sang the third song well but the song was only half as difficult as "I'll Be There" that was so beautifully sang by Jessica. What was the SO for Philip then? For singing the melody?

  • Daisy - 12 years ago

Joshua should have been in the finale. He was robbed! I won't be watching it either.

  • debra - 12 years ago

I liked all three voices and thought that Joshua would take it because he was getting so much build up from everyone, but he was starting to irritate me with his smug looks and screaming. I hope Jessica wins. It's time another gal won.

  • nanny - 12 years ago

Joshua is alot better performer than pp, anyone who loves music should have voted for him. It' a shame idol fans have no ears. pp should have gone home. Jessica should win if anyone really listens to her sing. Sixteen years old and a voice like that she is a winner.

  • pj - 12 years ago

This is a TRAVESTY! Joshua is SO talented. The judges did a terrible job this year. VERY FEW negative comments were made and that's unfair! They need to be honest! Even JLO told Hollie they had been behind her from the start and they had beaten up on her the last 3 weeks! GO FIGURE!!! AI has GOT to find some REAL judges. SIMON WHERE ARE YOU????? Good luck to Joshua! He's our next Luther Vandross! Phillip is your next AI and I just cant get my hands around that one...yes he's cutesy but could you sit for and hour and a half listening to the same thing over and over??? REALLY?????

  • RicDavao - 12 years ago

The decision to send Joshua Ledet home is correct. Joshua was not singing. He was screaming. But as one of the judges said, he received standing ovations which were not deserved. But J Lo favored him too much and it showed. Jessica Sanchez is the best singer even if she is the youngest.

  • jake - 12 years ago

Joshua is just a Fantasia with a very painful face. Glad he went home.

He will not get famous nor sell records. He's better off as a lounge singer covering motown soul and big band classics.

  • michelle - 12 years ago

Joshua is a prodigy the likes of which come around rarely. If the voters consisted of people with any maturity and appreciation of music, Joshua would have won hands down. Given the biggest voting bloc of Idol is young girls, I expected this result. Much respect to Phillip and Jessica, but Joshua was the one to win clear as day, and given the other two that is saying alot, but that's what he is, alot.

  • Romdy - 12 years ago

It was a sad news for Josh. He deserves to be there with Jessica. It should have been Jessica and Joshua. Although I am happy for Jessica, the competition would have been more exciting if it was Joshua instead of P2. It was unfortunate America did not do the right thing for Josh. But I believe he will make it to the market.

  • John - 12 years ago

The show has become a joke. Joshua is by far the most talented and versatile singer. No comparison ..... The vote was based on perhaps a cute face but not on talent. The judges when giving their opinion after yesterday's performers must have felt that they had to give a glowing critique to Phillips in order to save face in case he would be voted in for the final. After seeing yesterday's program I had a feeling that either Jessica or Joshua would be voted out to leave room for Phillips. No need to guess what will be the finale. Jessica will be out and Phillips, cutsy face will win. The american public has stones in their ears and they vote for a cute kid but not for talent.

  • Daina - 12 years ago

I am so disgusted with the decision made to send home Joshua Ledet. I dont care what anyone says the other guy cant sing half as good as Joshua, I will not be watching American Idol again after tonite. Yall blew it, Im so pissed right now. I feel what good are the judges if they cannot make the right decisions. Joshua Ledet got how many standing ovations? White dude- cant sing. He sucks. Im out, never again american idol, never again.

  • Robin - 12 years ago

Joshua should never have been sent home, he is such a great singer. I was happy with the top three, but this was really a big surprise for me. My guess was it would be Joshua and Philip left. I like Jessica but she is like so many other pop singers that come and go. Both Joshua and Philip have more depth and seasoning to their talents.

At least Joshua will get picked up by a record company that will hopefully let him record the type of music he is really great at and not try to turn him into something he isn't.
    Thanks
