I don't think they were out of line or trying to parent her. Gia throwing a tantrum and telling Jac to go outside in her own house!? That's out of line.
They were just trying to calm the girl down. She ruined a fun day. Even the adults were getting along.

Gia needs to learn that she won't always win! At age 10, it isn't too early to start. I really don't think the field day games is all that is going on with Gia. Teresa did exactly as she always does, showing Gia that she must be right and everyone else is wrong. Just as Gia thinks the problem between her Mom and her uncle Joe is all Joe's fault. I'm afraid she has a hard life ahead of her.
