People do not understand people. Children are capable of saying "I do not feel like I am I boy, I think I'm a girl."" or vise versa you have to take there word, give children credit if god doesn't make mistakes then they are meant to be the way they are being transgender IS NOT A MISTAKE SO STOP CALLING IT LIKE IT IS A MISTAKE. They are still perfect. Being a boy or a girl is an option being gay or straight is also an option you don't have to say that them feeling the way they feel is some type of sickness. Everyone is different in there own way and all aren't meant too be the same that is why we have freedom to be able to make changes in life style like this and not be judged by the people around you. I am christen and I fully believe in god but god accepts all his children even though this is considered a sin all sins are forgivable.

You guys are full of shit! God is a load of shit! If Tyler is transgender he should live as a boy! Don't make comments if you don't know a thing! I was born female and knew at that age! You knew you were a boy/girl at that age didn't you? Experts think something happens in the womb to cause this. I fully support Tyler and his family! Good job the world isn't full of close-minded prats like you!

A sad mistake on the parents' part to encourage this behavior. There are many psychiatric doctors that could probably help this child but you have to find them and take the child in. To encourage such behavior only adds to her confusion and when she gets older and mature enough to understand, she will be embarressed and humiliated when she is not accepted by the other kids or society in general. She was born a girl and should be treated as one regardless of what she says - this is a child not yet capable of making life changing decisions. Her parents sound like so many of these "new wave" parents that really thinks kids should do as they please to be happy. They will regret these decisions but I hope the child will get the medical help she needs and grow up to be a lovely young lady.

The above commenter said almost my exact words. Number one it's like your saying the Lord made a mistake, and God DOESN'T make mistakes. The problem is that people get comfortable and programmed into thinking that being transgendered and homosexual is okay, just like many thought yeah it's okay to be my childs friend and have no type of parenting and look how most of this new generation is just down the tubes, these suppose to be the one's who we depend on when we get older (we in trouble)it's NOT okay. When your a kid in this day and age these kids are exposed to way too much, people it's a reason you were born as whatever you were, and I do believe this is a spiritual problem those sermons you may hear in church about that type of demonic spirit attaching itself to a person... Bottom line when he made all of us what we were born as it's no mistake, life is a test something's the Lord will and will not forgive. So I pray they reconsider the change that will fall on them, God blessed them.

Being transgendered is not an illness, its not a phase., its not confusion, the only thing I do agree with is the fact that, God does not make mistakes and everything is this world happens for a reason. I feel the lesson here is acceptance and we as gods children should accept one another and not judge others for there choices life style or how they choose to live their life. Kids are very intuitive and innocent Kathy and other transgendered children have No idea what being transgender is they just know what will make them happy and how they feel inside.

I don't think they should alow a child to go through that. For one the child is to young and don't know what it is to be a boy or girl they are still learning at that age. If the child has an chemical inbalance in the brain then that should do all that can to help the child deal with it not change the child. God don't make any mistakes, what ever genger the child was born with that's what the child is. We wouldn't try and help a child stay bi polar, or any other illiness like that so why help a child with something like this. A chemical inbalance in the brain is just that, help them become balance not stay unbalance.
