Surveillance? What kind of surveillance do you do on private property in the midst of acres of plants and trees? I am 100% sure in my heart that this deputy was stealing and got caught, then made sure he wouldn't be found out. This poor family will never get justice. I wish them they very, very best.

The Police on the PBSO have gotten carried away with their power trip.
    Don't they wear Vests?

Shooting an unarmed man 4 times is excessive force not self defense.

The officer didn't even try to call for emergency help.

Now the officer us enjoying a free vacation at our expense for murdering a innocent citizen.

Why did he let him die?

Because dead men can't talk or dispute the officers claims.

How many more Innocents have to die before the restrain these trigger happy power mongers.

We need to get rid of Bradshaw he defends these murderers with the same story they felt threatened.

Well isn't that why they became police officers To Protect and serve!

    Not shoot and humiliate.

Sad days in America it is no longer the Home if the Brave and land of the Free!

It is now the Police state that type of thing was done by Hitler.

Anyone notice the resemblance of Bradshaw to him?

RIP Seth Adams you are now in a better place then we are in the United socialist States of America! USSA!

Especially PBSO shoot first and ask questions later but remember dead men can't talk or defend their rights!

Sure does look like a suspicious shooting.

    1. Seth could have been drunk...but why couldn't Custer get control of a guy who weighed 75-100lbs less than him...and was drunk?

    2. Custer didn't see a gun nor was a gun found on SA....Hmmm.??

    3. Custer was doing surveillance....of what? Have you seen the corner of this property....its in the middle of NOWHERE. So what are you surveying ?

    4. Me suspects that Custer was himself doing something wrong. Why the hell would you be in a parking lot...in the middle of nowhere? Gettin a BJ maybe?

    5. To the cops who post here....SHUT THE FUCK UP. Fagots, i see you at the gym and most of you guys are just like the jigs you try and arrest. Bunch of low-level jerk offs. BTW....you guys' couldn't catch a real criminal if you tripped over him. So yeah....we don't bother calling you......only if we need you to draw a body chalk line...IDIOTS.

I think some of you should become Police Officers or Deputy's! Then you will have a different perspective of what the job is!!! But of course you don't have the BALLS!!!!
The job is reall life, not your fantasy world watching the news or reading the paper!

You ppl crack me up. You dont even know facts in this case so shut the fuck up. As much as you ppl hate Police, you sure are quick to dial 911. If you dont like or trust Police, handle shit yourself and dont bother calling law enforcement.

We the People had better take the murder of this fine young man very seriously!
The message Bradshaw is sending is that his officers can kill you for requesting that they leave your private property!
I have written several state agencies demanding justice.
What I told them is if they don't charge this murderer, they are saying that a citizen should shoot first and take their chances with a jury of their peers!
It is insane that the US Constitution and Bill of Rights are so despicably being violated with no regard!
4 shots shows this was a execution!
    God Bless you Seth.

Soooo many unanswered questions---What was that officer doing on private property? Did he have permission to be there?

We have been doing business with this company for some time now and have dealt directly with Seth several times. He has always been polite and ready to assist, never showed any impatient or hostile manerisms. I liked his attitude and disire to be of assistance. If he didn't know the answer to a question, he referred me to someone else. He was genuinely a nice man. the picture of him in a goutee and long hair doesn't mean a thing. And Rick B. coming on the air and displaying the attitude he did is totally discusting. He should have said that he would get to the bottom of the situation but, no , he protects his officer. Why? I may be wrong, but I feel Seth was unjustifiably shot to death. I, really, could go on for a while but enough for now.

I bought flowers from Seth Adams. He was a helpful low key guy. An easy going soul. He was not an aggressive kid by anyone's description. Everyone who knew him will tell you this. He would never have initiated a confrontation or choked anyone. That story by PBSO is a fabrication. PBSO shooter Michael Custer is a big body builder steroid looking guy. He was way bigger than Seth. Unarmed Seth came home to his own property & saw a strange car parked on his property. He questioned why this stranger was there. I believe Seth went to his truck to get his cellphone to call his big brother - who was just 50 yards away in a trailer on the same property - to tell him he was being hassled by a cop in their own parking lot. Somehow this confrontation got out of hand & Seth was shot 4 times. FOUR TIMES. He ran away for his life into the plant nursery & collapsed into the bushes. His big bro & sis-in-law came out when they heard the gun shots. They were held at rifle-point by PBSO & told to get on the ground. Seth was losing blood & dying & his loved ones were kept away from him so he could not speak as to what had transpired . Almost 30 minutes elapsed before PBSO called for medical help. And PBSO shooter Michael Custer did not use radio dispatch which is normal protocol. All calls for PBSO back-up & EMT help notification were made from private cell phones. Hmmm? Why was that? This whole situation stinks to high heaven. Also Bradshaw said in his press conference that the video on Custer's squad was "blank". How convenient. Something smells rotten in PBC.

Mrs. Adams as a former deputy, who worked for the PBSO, I can tell you, they arre going to do their best to cover this up! Well, they have actually done that already. Your son was found to be at fault and that poor investigator has no choice, after the statement made publicly by Ric the NaZI Bradshaw!!! I'm sorry? I have someone reaching out to your atty. To help u in any way i can! God bless! By the way, my brothers name is Seth!

Bradshaw, like the officer who shot Mr. Adams, and every other law enforcement officer who we blindly hand a badge and gun, is nothing more than a filthy liar. He, like every other officer, will lie, cheat, and steal to protect one of the members of some false "fraternal" order. Enough of protecting each other, how about a little accountability and moral fortitude?

  • Cole - 12 years ago

Bradshaw has shown time and time again that nothing is fair unless it benefits him. Our SA office has a close relationship with Bradshaw. An outside agency needs to investigate this. If it were reversed and it was a deputy hurt Bradshaw would have the civilian would have been arrested tried and sentenced before it even hit the news.

The 15th Judicial Circuit State’s Attorney Office is directly connected to Sheriff Bradshaw. Chief Prosecutor Paul Zacks has yet to determine a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office shooting was unjustified, even after a deputy committed suicide for killing an unarmed citizen. Sheriff Ric L. Bradshaw has been instrumental in getting the State’s Attorney Office to assist in covering-up the deaths of Former Deputy Donate Manuel and Deputy Jonathan Wallace along with a host of other unarmed shootings resulting in fatalities. Perhaps, the 15th Judicial State’s Attorney Office should request the local FBI Field Office to handle the investigation and/or a Special Prosecutor appointed by Governor Rick Scott. We need both respect and trust bestowed to the 15th Judicial Circuit Courts, State’s Attorney Office and Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. It is time for the citizens of this county to unite as one and end this Good Ole Boy Police Mentality. Sheriff Bradshaw is the only man I know who is never wrong.

My concerns are about the surveilance from and on private property. The business location is a Botanical garden business. What vantage point was the officer viewing from? This was not a known criminal enterprise area. Why did the officer remain in the area if dscovered by a civilian? It is the state of mind of the officer that's in question. Shooting an unarmed civilian is an abuse of use of deadly force continum.

  • Nancy - 12 years ago

The victim wasn't black so forget about an independent special investigation. Adam was white so there will be no civil right leaders fighting for justice. No marches throughout Palm Beach County or nationwide protesting his death. His mistake for not being black. Adam would've seen justice otherwise. If your black you get justice, white you don't have a pot to piss in.

  • Scott - 12 years ago

I don't believe that the agency that did the shooting, can fairly investigate itself. It makes no sense.

  • Al - 12 years ago

There are too many unanswered questions. I really hope for Seth and his family, that the investigation will be fair. I have a feeling that there are some shenanigans taking place behind the scenes by pbso. Another agency should be called in and investigate the incident if it involves a local police force.

  • Kevin Young - 12 years ago

I strongly feel that a Special Federal Prosecutor should be appointed to look into this for possible civil rights violations. Seth Adams was murdered on his own property by a Deputy that was TRESPASSING on private property without permission. Rick Bradshaw has a history of corruption in his department and the citizens of Palm Beach County deserve that justice be served... we cannot and will not get it from Sheriff Bradshaw.

The appointment of the Special Federal Prosecutor will be the only fair and just way to bring charges against this deputy, bring him to trial.... and if found guilty, send him to prison just like any other person that shoots & murders and unarmed man.

  • Honey - 12 years ago

A fair and unbiased investigation is a must. It's the right thing to do. There's more to this story. RIP Seth Adams.

  • DARA ZUCKERMAN - 12 years ago

OF COURSE IT WON'T BE , THIS IS WHY THE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT CONFISCATED THE TAPES FROM THE OWNERS OF THE PROPERTY WHICH I'M HAVING A HARD TIME FIGURING OUT WHY ANYONE WOULD CO OPERATE WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT WHEN WE KNOW PBC SHERIFF'S ACT AS THEY ARE JUDGE AND JURY. THIS OFFICER SHOULD HAVE BEEN SHOT ON THE SOLE STAND YOUR GROUND LAW HE WAS TRESPASSING AND WHERE'S HIS DASH CAM OH YEAH IN AN UNMARKED VEHICLE WITHOUT A UNIFORM. I WOULD HAVE SHOT HIM FOR SURE AS SETH HAD A RIGHT TO GO TO HIS VEHICLE AND GET A GUN IF HE HAD ONE.
