I'm sorry if my english is not so good: I'm brazilian, so... Dut I'm a delenas fan just because the series that i'm watching is the grouth and development of a love relatioship betwen two amazing characters : Damon and Elena. It's shows the growth of theyr love and the changes that love could bring for each one of us. A story about a redemption love. So in fact what i see is a strong, redemption and beautiful love story betwin damon and Elena. Thanks and sorry about my english.
If you really believe that a poll dictates whether or not stefan and elena are in love, you really have let the show get to your head. now, let's look at this logically. this show will most likely go on for another 6 or more seasons. take any successful show from the past and compare it to tvd. every time, couples go through stages. in One Tree Hill, the show started with Peyton and Lucas, but went through several stages before ending with them, and that didn't even happen until season 6. This was not the last time Elena is going to make up her mind. chances are, she will go back to Damon at least one more time. but, whether or not you delena fans want to admit it, history repeats itself in every show. the initial ship is almost 100% the endgame. and as much as you love the "evolving" relationship between Damon and Elena, she has never had to fight for Damon. He's been there. She has to fight for Stefan, want to be with him. Damon is desperate to feel something, and sometimes Elena is as well. The triangle is there to bring dynamics to the show. I for one think you all are crazy when you say that Stefan and Elena are boring. Elena's life is hectic enough. She needs something stable in her life. Stefan is her stability, her constant. She doesn't need Damon, the screwed up mentally unstable brother dragging her down with him. He was much more enjoyable in season 1 when he was killing everyone. Now, he is the boring one. So before you chew off every Stelena shippers heads, check your facts DE. "It's always going to be Stefan"

I think this is all insanely idiotic. In the end; Elena will choose. One will walk away victorious, another heartbroken.
I think that Damon is really the good guy, I mean his a bad guy in a healthy way -at least for a vampire.. Stefan is just crazy mad psychopatic He IS maybe the better villain but certainly not the hero after everything we've seen! So I actually think Delena is the sweetest thing even it's passionate and Damon might have killed Jer once but it doesn't make me horrified like Stefan.. Paul's great actor though he has obviously scared me so good.
I was very disappointed with Elena's choice in the finale. Devastated in fact. And, in saying this, I honestly can't say I think the writers will bring DE together in the end no matter how right it is because I think they have a love affair with Stefan (which boggles my mind). But, in retrospect, Elena said something to Damon that I now see as so important it almost makes me OK with her choosing Stefan. She said "No matter what I feel for you, I never unfell for him." This is true and she needs to unfall for Stefan before she could possibly move on to Damon. I think she knows that. I also think she knows she will inevitably but the only way for that to happen is for them to try to get back what they had and eventually realize that they can't. Of course, then the real challenge begins. Damon has been rejected and hurt to the marrow. I don't believe this will affect his feelings for her but he will go into self protective mode and not be ready and willing to put his heart on the chopping block again. Eventually love should win out. This is what the path we are being led down looks like to me. However, that being said, the writer's do seem unpredictable and unfavorable toward DE in general and Damon in particular. They miss no opportunity to blame him for every bad thing and take no opportunity to give him credit for any good thing. Stefan on the other hand always gets a free pass on his bad stuff and gets credit (which he always accepts) even when it is not deserved. All while he is pointing out to anyone who will listen how terrible Damon is and how he can't be trusted. I can hear Damon saying "Pot/kettle, brother" to that one. Well, I'm done ranting. I just want to end with this one last thought. If the writer's want us to be sympathetic toward Stefan and like him and want to see him and Elena together, then why have they made him so damned unlikable?

Delena 4ever. that is the epic story. i'm sorry for the stelena fan but love it's not only sweet things, it's not when you say always " i love you ". love i'ts passion, it's fight, i'ts fun! and delena are all of that.

It can't be explained or chosen. It just is. Love isn't summed up into one little definition and it isn't something we choose. Elena can't admit her feelings, because once she gives in, she knows it will consume her. Her love for Damon will consume her. There is no going back once they get together. And honestly, not calling anybody out or trying to start anything, but who doesn't want a love like that? "You want what everybody wants. A love that consumes you. Passion. Adventure. A little danger." Powerful, two souls merging into one, twin flames, all consuming, unexplainable, unconditional love. THIS IS WHAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF, PEOPLE. Damon didn't even know that when he said those things to her, and when she asked him what he wanted, HE would be exactly what she was looking for and SHE would be exactly what he was looking for. They were lost when they found each other. HOW CAN ANYONE NOT SEE HOW POETIC THAT IS? And even though he erased her memory and their story has possibly the worst timing known to man, they still found each other again and fell in love, despite all other circumstances and amidst all the chaos. "If I would've chosen differently, I wouldn't have met you." ALL OF THESE CHOICES LED THEM TO EACH OTHER, TWO SOULS MERGING INTO ONE. "Maybe if you and I had met first." She didn't mean literally. She was talking about their tragic timing. However, despite that, everything had to happen the way it happened so they could meet each other the way they were always meant to. DO I EVEN NEED TO SAY WHAT THAT IS CALLED? *COUGH* DESTINY *COUGH* Not even going to mention the symbolism of them literally meeting on a road, the beginning of their journey (Probably reading too much into that one). Their story can be seen two ways. The first is having the worst possible timing, but overcoming everything to be together. They fight for each other, not just their love, but for each other. "I can't lose you." "I don't know what I'd do if you weren't here." THEY NEED EACH OTHER. THEY WILL FIGHT TO BE TOGETHER, EVEN IF IT MEANS FIGHTING WITH EACH OTHER ALONG THE WAY. Then, it's also a story of how everything that happens is meant to happen and what happens was always meant to happen. Free will and fatalism. Elena is all about choices and free will, while Damon is a fatalist. Together, they make up the story of Damon and Elena. "EPIC" doesn't even begin to describe the love that Damon and Elena have. Timeless, maybe. Inevitable, definitely. I know it's a lot more complicated, but in the end, love can make everything seem really simple. And all of this over two fictional characters (Yes, I'm aware)...*SIGH* Sorry for the ranting, but I just had to get it all out there.
I do hope she gets with Damon. Personally, I don't like Damon, but Elena seems to...But my heart is with Stelena. I do think that Stefan needs to step up and grow a pair when it comes to Elena. And I want it to be Stelena in the end. But I want to see them with other people right now. That way when they do find their way back to each other, there is nothing else in the way. To me, that is true love. I don't watch fantasy tv to see "real life" I want to see fantasy. Which means, I want a happily ever after. I think that most people want Delena b/c Damon is the bad boy. Personally, I don't like the bad boy. Nice guys don't always finish last!

Stelena and Delena are two different love stories,but ,come on guys, there's a reason if the 70% of the audience ship Delena. Stelena is static, Delena is a journey. Stefan and Elena are sweet together, but also boring. Damon and Elena are twinflames. If you decide to rewatch TVD from the beginning, you can't deny that it's like every episode it' s a step towards Delena. Do you want know why Elena has chosen Stefan? Because Stefan is the easier choice, he respects her, he's good and she was to weak to take a risk with Damon. When she's with him she can't control herself and Damon could also be the worst thing for her (remember Rose's quotes). But now she's a vampire, she's strong, she's ready to be with Damon. And , dear Stelena shippers, you should accept the fact that sooner or later Elena will choose Damon.

Danielle, I have one question for you. Did Elena tell Damon IN SEASON 3 FINALE "that's always gonna be Stefan"? Oh, no, she didn't. Damon said it and she disagreed with him. She said "I can't think about always, all I can think about is right now." Do you see this? Stefan is only her 'right now', it's not always gonna be Stefan, deal with it. ;)

Damon/Elena =) I just freaking love their story, they're constantly evolving.. as someone else said her, from hate to friendship, from friendship eventually to love. I love the road - though it's very hard sometimes to keep faith, but in the end, all will be worth it - and I love everything about their relationship.
I hope that they will have Elena fighting for Damon is season 4. After Damon fighting for almost 3 seasons for Elena, now it's her turn to fight for him. If they go this way, I'll love DE even more (and I already love them so much... they're the only couple I've ever shipped in a TV show).

We need to agree that we have a totally different point of view. You see the quotes. I and the rest of the majority of the fans who watch TVD see pass the quotes. We see the meaning behind the words. We see the parallels, we see the change. A story is not based on words/quotes. And even IF this is ALL you want to see, well then Elena said in season 2 "its always going to be Stefan". Then in season 3 she said "it's Stefan right now". Damon said "It's right. Just not right now". Nothing is set on stone. This is a journey. SE is static. True. DE is NOT static though. They change, they involve. The hate turn to friendship, the friendship turn to love. The only way for them to go is up. So don't feel "sorry" for the people who support DE. You can love whatever you want but you are not "right" and the others are "wrong". Be respectful and try (even if it's hard) to understand that a STORY is much more than some quotes the characters said in the first part of the show. We have at least 3 seasons to go. We have faith and we believe in our couple. As I also believe in the writers.

Elena herself said she didn't know what love was back in season 1 when she was supposed to be in love with Stefan. I don't believe what she has with Stefan is true love. She is obligated to be with him. She feels she owes him. She became attached to him in an unhealthy way because of her parents death and he helped her 'forget' and have something to feel better about and to me, that's about all their relationship is. It's shallow and it's a lie. Stefan wanted to pretend to be human, to make a pretend relationship. He said in the pilot, "I had a plan. I wanted to change who I was. Create a life with someone new, someone without the past."
The entire thing was him wanting to pretend he was something he wasn't. He decieved Elena into thinking he was human. The foundation of the relationship is a lie. That isn't the kind of relationship I'd want, where I was chosen because the guy wanted to make up a pretend life for himself so he could pretend he wasn't a ripper.
Delena isn't easy. They have their struggles, but they are both growing and becoming better people because they have each other in their lives. They challenge each other to be the best they can be. They don't live a lie. They're brutally honest with each other. They are friends first. Their love is growing stronger every day, not sitting stagnant like Stelena. Sure, she never 'unfell' for Stefan. That wouldn't be a very comforting feeling to me if I was a Stelena fan, because at the same time, she 'fell' for Damon and someday she will choose him. It's inevitable.

I believe in TRUE LOVE. REAL LOVE. A self sacrificing love that where no matter what obstacles come in the way they always find their way back to each other. Because lust comes and goes but Love is forever. And we all know that the love that Stelena shares never will die. It will always be there. And no "consuming" unhealthy love with make Elena forget that. I just feel sorry for the 75% of the fandom who can't see that.

I Love TVD and I believe that the writers are brilliant. So of course (when it comes to romance) it's all about Damon and Elena's story. Do you really think they are trying to tell SE's "epic love story" for 3 years now and they are failing so hard? They know what they are doing and more of 70% of their audience supports DE because that's the story they are telling. THEY want people to root for DE, this is the story THEY are telling (again in case you missed it the first time) They are the storytellers and seriously it's offensive to them, to believe that they are failing to tell their own story. It's crystal clear and really simple.

Delena is a relationship which is so much more deep and complex than Stelena will ever be. I just rewatched all the seasons and the buildup to Delena is amazing. It better be endgame!

Their journey won our hearts and we, Delena shippers, win all the pools just because there are more people that like Elena with Damon more than with Stefan.
