I just don't get the Klaroline or the Steroline hype at all. Steroline is only shipped because that way Delena fans don't have to worry about Stefan. Caroline doesn't deserve to be someone's second choice or rebound girl again... just sayin'... Klaroline is only shipped because Klaus is a villain and Caroline the exact opposite. people do not care for Caroline in this relationship and what it would do to her character. see, caroline cares about humans. klaus despises them ("they're only means to an end" as he put it). I just don't see how this could work. they would destroy both of their characters in the process. either making Klaus an even greater manchild than he already is (they should stop trying to make irredeemable characters redeemable; if he is no longer a villain, what's his point on the show??), or letting Caroline embrace her vampire-life (people should think about why they like Caroline; i bet it's not because she is an awesome villain... she is bubbly and everything that makes her so great is very HUMAN). And using Caroline to humanize Klaus is also ridiculous. every possible way of making Klaroline happen is RIDICULOUS.
also, what is it with young women wanting Caroline to be together with a possessive stalker rather than someone who actually loves her, someone her age, someone she can relate to and always accepted her? did you guys watch too much twilight?
and the stupid sex argument. Yes, i wasn't all too happy about the writing for TC this season. but that was only because this show only focuses on the triangle of doom and every other SL just fills the gaps between the oh so epic Love Story. In my opinion, they didn't even scratch the potential Forwood has. people already forgot about what they are about (did you watch TC in 2x11? the most epic scenes in the entire series?? was that sexual??).
and the most ridiculous thing ever is, that they had to sent Tyler off in order for people to start shipping Klaroline. Instead of developping the couple (maybe bring some of their awesome friendship back? or their banters?) they just sent him off! and this happened for two seasons in a row! why don't they ever integrate Tyler in a SL?
and another thing that pisses me off, is that Tyler, the only dude who never put Elena first (yes, Klaroline fans, Klaus put Elena first and used her as a bloodbag, remember?), gets pointless hate from the fans. He is the only character on this show who doesn't care that much about Elena. Caroline is and will always be his number one.
Anyhow you Forwood shippers should be way more afraid of Steroline than Klaroline, since it seems Stefan and Caroline's relationship will be growing a lot next season. I believe Steroline is way more likely to happen than Klaroline, way less difficult to develop. Plus, Steroline would be perfect because it'd give a new love interest to Stefan (which will be "necessary" when Elena finally choses Damon-because-let's face it- next season she will). SO... I'm not necessarily saying that Steroline will happen next season, but it's definitely in the making.. Klaroline doesn't stand a chance. It is a crackship and will always remain a crackship. So, Forwood fans, calm yo'tits, and start being afraid of Steroline, instead of Klaroline.
I find Klaroline's chemistry way more enticing than Forwood's. I admit that narratively speaking, Klaroline is very hard to develop since the very high risk is to kill Caroline's character consistence and Klaus' villain nature. Anyhow I adore them together, their physical compatibility is 100%, IMO, there are serious sparks whenever they have scenes together, and this is something I can't say for any other ship here in TVD, not even Delena. That said, I realize that Klaroline is probably never going to happen. All I wish for is a steamy hate-sex scene, then I would consider myself satisfied. :) Ps. Better Steroline than Forwood, BTW...just sayin'.

@Amie No ship-wars. Just a good discussion would be nice :) I'm sorry but I just can't sympathize with Klaus when all he's done is ruin people's lives or make them miserable. Take Rebekah for instance, she loves him more than anyone ever could yet all he does is either stake her or push her away and treat her like crap. I get that he's lonely and has issues but that's no reason to act like a 5 year old when things don't go his way. I find it incredibly immature and I don't want Caroline to be subjected to that if she ever angered him.

Tyler didn't take Caroline from Matt since 1) Matt doesn't own her and 2) they weren't even together at the time. Plus, Tyler has grown so much since he did all the things you said. At the start of the show he was just a typical dick jock who didn't really care about anyone. People grow and he did. He's a teenage guy who's been physically and emotionally abused his whole life and his mom didn't actually start caring until his dad died so I think it's only natural that he reacts this way. I honestly think he's had one of the best character developments of the whole show. He makes mistakes but he does everything he can to make up for them and that's one of the reasons I love him. He owns up to his mistakes and tries to fix them. He didn't get what he wanted because HE wanted it, he got it because Caroline wanted him.
And you know what? People want Klaus with Caroline because HE wants her and he always gets what he wants so I don't see the difference except that Tyler is better because he actually backed off when he thought Caroline didn't want him and tried to make things better with the guy she loved. He didn't insult Matt or talk about how he'll never be good enough for her like Klaus did. Which makes Klaus all the more pathetic IMO.
I think the writers didn't take into consideration that their viewers have a short-term memory and that they would forget all their build-up in S2. Plus, if Forwood was just about sex, I really don't think Tyler would've broken every bone in his body a 100x so he could be with his sex-buddy.
I honestly blame the writing. S3 was horrible and one of the worst things I've ever seen on TV. They were too focused on D/E/S and the originals to do justice to anything or anyone else.
How did they always show it sexually? So Caroline being there for Tyler during his transformations was sexual? and Tyler being there for her after her dad tortured her was sexual? and Tyler breaking every bone in his body for her was sexual? I honestly don't know how that is sexual in any way.
I don't want Klaroline to happen because it only serves Klaus, for people to see his humanity but what about Caroline? Why don't people ever think what this would do to her characterization? I don't want Caroline to turn into an Elena 2.0. Caroline's been my favorite since the pilot so I really don't want her character-assassinated just because people want to see Klaus' humanity.

I think that this love triangle is growing more interesting than the Stefan/Elena/Damon one.
Stefan is my first Caroline choice, but Klaroline is second. I love them.

I ship Klaroline because every other guy before Klaus has judged or rejected her; Stefan in s1 "Me and you, it's nto going to happen", Matt in s1 "I don't even like you", Tyler in s1 "You know what I think about Caroline Forbes, she's an annoying, neurotic, bitchy.." (Something like that), and Damon in s1 calling her shallow. Klaus was the only guy that ever said she was beautiful, that ever wanted to talk about her future dreams and hopes and that was willing to show her the world. To me that's a relationship I'd love to see. Klaroline has such a great potential and they could make such a great SL for this ship, just hope the writers don't ruin it.
@Jessy I'm not trying to start a ship-war, just letting you know. I hate when people say that Klaus is "obsessed" with Caroline. He's not obsessed, he's fascinated. Obsessed means when someone or something preoccupies your mind all the times to a troubling extent; Klaus is not obsessed with Caroline, she's not on his mind 24 hours of the day. He wants to understand her and her hopes and dreams, and although it's hard for him, he's willing to. Klaus is such a misunderstood character on the show, because they portray him as this guy who wants nothing in life but to kill for shits and giggles, but he's not. He ran from his father for a thousand years as a Hybrid, and tried to gain his families love as a Human, he obviously has major trust issues and acceptance issues, underneath all that darkness is a guy that just wants love and acceptance. Yes Tyler backed off from Caroline but you can't just go to her boyfriend and basically say "Hey, I like Caroline take care of her". Yes they're teenager and they can have sex all the want, but every since 3x01 most of their scenes seem sexually-driven. They had great build-up in s2 but the moment they said they're horny all the time, was the moment I was done with them. It seemed to me that the writers were trying to give us these steamy scenes to get us more fascinated by them but it actaully made some of us bored of them. We can only blame the bad build-up in s3.
I agree that Forwood has always been a "Show, don't tell" relationship, because they always show it sexually, but I would love to see a relationship with Caroline that has more words than actions, that will connection with her in more than just a sexual level, and will try to understand her in every possible way, I'm not saying that it could be Klaus because who knows, or that it could be Tyler, but I personally would like it to be Klaus, because I want to see Klaus turn back his humanity, and I want someone with Caroline that is willing to understand her.

We must be watching a different show. I clearly remember Caroline pointing out how pathetic Klaus in trying to be the "alpha male".
Caroline never chased Tyler either. She chased Matt and Damon. In S2 when Caroline wanted to help Tyler, that wasn't chasing. That was trying to help another person and be their friend.
Chasing someone around is not always a good thing. When a girl says 'no' she doesn't mean try again later. When Caroline said no to Tyler in S2 when he kissed her, he backed off and told Matt how incredible she was and told him to take care of her. Then when he came back, during the whole summer they spent together as friends, he didn't make one move because she told him to back off. That's respecting and loving someone enough to know when to stop. When Caroline said no to Klaus, he continued forcing himself on her, insulted her boyfriend and kept being all " I will TELL you what you want, what you are thinking, what you are feeling, what you WILL think and feel a hundred years from now". That is not something I find appealing at all and I hate any guy who tries it with a burning passion.
Tyler's more of a "I'll sacrifice my life to save you" type than just an "I love you" type. And since when was Klaus in love with her?! Yes, he's obsessed with her (which is honestly creepy and not in any way "romantic") but he's not in love with her. Actions speak louder than words and Forwood has always been a 'show, don't tell' kind of relationship which is what makes it so amazing.
Klaroline! Forwood was good, but now it's all about sex, sex, sex. If Tyler and Caroline had some real emotional moments before Klaus swooped in, I'd be all for Forwood. Klaroline all the way! Joseph and Candice's chemistry is amazing. Caroline brings out a new side to Klaus. They are the best ship on this show, I can't wait to see them develop further as the series continues.

I know right? I liked Forwood, just like I love Stelena, Bamon and Dan and Blair. I am a sap for the sweet relationships. I'm not big on the relationships that they fight all the time...supposedly it's "fire" to me that's annoying. I definitely don't understand Delena...he "killed" her brother! How could she forgive him? I never could! And I loved Lexi, and he killed her for selfish reasons. He's a jerk!

Damon was the bad guy for season one and everyone still hardcore ships Delena and forgave him, Stefan was the Rippah in 20's and people still ship him, this is the VAMPIRE diaries, a show based on supernaturals not some humans that are trying to find their way of life, Killing is in their nature, some just tend to hold on to their humanity longer than others. I'm not trying to be disrespectful to Forwood shippers but Tyler and Carolines relationship went from really good friends (They had amazing chemistry in s2) to "I'm Horny all the time now" (stopped shipping them in that episode) to Screwing each other in every scene the get to "I love you", I blame it at the bad writing, they didn't even address their relationship until she told Klaus that she's spoken for...? I like Klaroline because I know Klaus is still holding on to part of his humanity, and as Katherine said "Humanity is a vampires greatest weakness" while Klaus said "Love is a vampires greatest weakness" Perhaps when you fall in love you gain your humanity, and I would love for Caroline to be Klaus' humanity. I'm really excited about this SL and I hope that theres going to be more in s4, I blame it on the flawless acting and chemistry of Joseph and Candice.

klaus/caroline shouldn't make sence, but it does. it works. well, i'd like to see more of it. who knows.. they just have something. tyler/caroline for me was nice for a few episodes but they seemed to become slightly boring. klaus/caroline - are so different & even if he is the bad guy, it's intriging. it's wrong but... i want it!
Kitt, Chuck isn`t a bad guy anymore, he`s grown, changed and redeemed himself. Everyone likes Klaus, because Joseph perfectly plays its part, he`s shows the depth of his character, and when Klaus with Caroline, it opens new sides of him, and it's really interesting.
