Goodness, last time I looked this was SPN-run like crazy. I love Community too though, so I can't hate too much if Troy & Abed win.

I think Community voters just might be cheating a tiny bit.

I'd have to go with the Trenchcoat scene.

Sam giving Dean the slinky was just a typical sibling thing to do, just as Dean returning the favor by teasingly giving Sam the clown toy. It happens between brothers and sisters, often- its really not that special (unless your sibling is usually a jerk, and it was a once in a blue moon random act of kindness). Sam and Dean spent their entire lives with each other (they almost know everything about each other. Dean pretty much raised Sam, and Sam looks up to Dean as his brother/mother/father figure) is it really that amazing that Sam would think to get Dean that slinky if he knows him that well? Not really, I'm pretty sure Sam has done this kind of thing a lot for Dean and vice versa.

The trenchcoat scene between Dean and Cas was something not quite as typical. How close does someone have to be to you for you to keep something of theirs wherever you go? Dean moved that coat from car to car because Castiel meant something to him. He thought of Cas like family, like a brother- and hoped/knew Castiel would return some day, so he kept his coat (an object that is iconic of Cas).

When Castiel returned, he was not himself, he was not Dean's chosen brother or friend- just a stranger with a familiar face and it was heartbreaking, Dean was willing to let him live that lie (ignorance is bliss after all, Castiel would have been happier not knowing). Cas later recovered his memories but was still so lost (he couldn't fix what happened between them, his betrayal was unforgivable- how could he face Sam when he was the one who broke him?) Dean gave him the coat back as a reminder of who he was, who he still is (family). Giving back the coat was not a sure fire way of getting Cas to help him or his brother. But it enabled Cas to realize that there was hope that he could still be considered important to Dean, that what he had done could be fixed, and that some day Sam and Dean could forgive him.

And just like that: Superman donned the red cape again, with Batman close by, as they marched right into that mental hospital to save Robin. And save Robin he did, The End.

Team Free Will: Family don't end with blood, or betrayal.

My vote goes to the Giant Slinky! This is a great brother moment because it shows that even after spending 180 years in hell, and a year and a half soulless, Sam still knows Dean better than anyone... It should be noted that Sam NEVER saw Dean looking at the slinky, he just knew it was something that Dean would like and got it for him as a way to make his brother smile. (Sam's motivation here being pure love for his brother)

Dean giving Cas back his trenchcoat was touching, but it was more of a way of trying to remind Cas of who he was, and the responsibilities that he has, than a brother moment... It was essentially an offer of a way to begin atoning for the mess that Cas made of the world, and of Sam... In the end, Dean's doing this for Sam, not Cas. (So this could be a brother moment between Sam & Dean, but not Dean & Cas.)

I like Cas, and I think we saw a good start at true forgiveness between him and Dean at the end of the season, but the better brother moment of the season goes to Sam & Dean.

i will not say dat dean and cass r nt good frends bt da truth is that their frendship came into being in the absence of sam , but where there is sam , its only sam abt whom dean is worried.... i say dean and sam r best for bro moments

You can care about someone and still be mad at them and have trust issues. Jensen said that Dean hasn't forgiven Cas yet, but he's also said that Dean and Cas have a very deep friendship. If he didn't consider him a friend, he wouldn't even have kept the coat.

tens1822 I think you're wrong... Dean did forgive Castiel, he's just not the guy that would talk about his emotions, you know him. And also Jensen couldn't talk about spoilers when the actual episode still didn't air. And of course Castiel is still considered his friend, after everything he did for them, like when he took on Sam's wall and went crazy because of that. And also the fact that Dean kept the trenchcoat in the first place, and carried it around shows us that he still cares for Cas, even after his betrayal.

ok, i'll be the one to say it.....a 'bro' moment refers to a moment shared between brothers or male best friends. going by how s7 portrayed them, dean and castiel were not best friends, nor were they just friends,or brothers in arms.friendship implies trust, being that dean hasnt forgiven castiel (according to jensen),and he flat out said that he doesn't trust him, there is no real friendship there right now.hence, no 'bro' moment. i get that this is all in fun, but zap2it,at least be realistic about it. the only real 'bro' moment dean had this season was with sam giving him the slinky (and dean giving sam the clown). i don't get why you feel the need to add fuel to a fire that you know darn well has become an inferno over the past 2 seasons. quit adding fuel to the fire. for now,do us all a favor and give the destiel stuff a rest. before anyone accuses me of being a 'cas-hater', i DO NOT hate cas. i just hate the rift all the infighting has caused in the fandom. if you have an issue with that, please seek me out on twitter under the same name.i'll be happy to debate the issue with you.
