BONES!!! There can be only one Alpha and for me it is Bones. I think in this case even Vlad would vote for him. *ggg*
This is definitely Curran's year! He couldn't go up against JZB, but out of all the contestants this year, he's definitely Ultimate Alpha! I love Bones, but I just don't think Bones is bad ass enough compared to Curran.
I LOVE Bones. He is hot, funny, skilled, kind to Cat, and mean to everyone who deserves it. This contest has made me want to re-read that series and I JUST finished it. I loved chapter 32....wait a minute while I wipe off the sweat...
BUT, I truly think Curran is more Alpha that just about anyone. I must admit that Jericho Barrons, as they mentioned in the re-cap of last year's contest, is also VERY alpha, and I'm so glad I didn't know about this contest last year for that very reason. It would have been a seriously tough call.
But in THIS contest, no matter how shag-worthy, and other kinds of worthy, too, Bones is, Curran is just more Alpha.
Curran is, IMO, unwilling and unable to back down from anyone. Would Curran back down from Dmitri? No. Would he even back down from Raphael? Nope. Would Curran submit to Jericho? No; they'd probably fight to the death, and then get up and do it again.
I actually think Bones is more in control of his Alpha-ness and emotions that than Curran. I think Bones would back down from Curran just to stay with Cat, to keep her from being without him.
Curran? He'd fight. Whether or not it meant leaving Kate behind, I think he'd fight for dominance anyway. Maybe when he's had another 200 years, like Bones, he'll be more secure. But safety for his mate and family are what he's been striving for non-stop for so long that I'm thinking it is still his primary drive.
Tell me if you think I'm wrong. I, too, love a good fight; just leave you're teeth at home and hit me with keystrokes.
I don't know Curran, I know Bones!! For him to be behind is crazy, it also means I need to get to Curran;)

I am embarrassed...I've never read Curran's books. I have reread Cat and Bones at least 6 times...I'll need to go with what I know best...Chapter 32 is taped up at least two times.

I LOVE both lead males, but Curran is more Alpha....he's just....well Alpha of the world. I can't think of a vampire as Alpha....its an "animal" term for the most part and Curran epitomizes the word.
Curran, paws down, all the way, no contest. I mean - he killed a GOD, is mated to a DEMIGOD, and is king to over 1500 shapeshifters. Man gets HUGE props.
