Truly amazing. I don't know if "Home" is the worst song I've ever heard, or even the worst song sung the most poorly in the history of vibrating air molecules, but it has to be in the running.
Dull, stupid, and (in Phillips hands, so to speak) echoing in some nightmare place between off-pitch and off-key, it made Idol history by being markedly worse than any other "coronation" song in the show's history.
Which is quite the little achievement.
I suppose it's possible that Phillips won't disappear back into well-deserved obscurity in 6 months or so (can you spell "Lee DeWyze"?), but if you sincerely believe that, I'd like to offer you a deal in Facebook shares at $50 each -- a bargain!
Meanwhile, while he's got some money, someone get this guy a new kidney!
