Belleville High School would be awesome! This fall the school will move into the newly remodeled high school. This would be a great tribute! The band program (marching band, symphony band, jazz band, freshman band and concert bands) is absolutely amazing. It has to be one the largest in Michigan (260+ members in the marching band). My vote is for BHS. Go Tigers!

Monroe's community if filled with people who enjoy music and art; which the DSO is a perfect combination of. Although we enjoy the Downtown Jazz festival every year, having the opportunity to have the DSO in our own community would top even that. In Southeastern Michigan, the La-Z-Boy center at the Monroe County Community College is one of the best fitting venues for this concert. It's one of the newest buildings on the campus and shows the future and hard work of Michigan and it's students. It is brings a welcoming environment to all who enjoy music/arts with an elegant touch, perfect for a night out with the DSO and some friends. PLEASE Let The La-Z-Boy Center in Monroe be the next venue for the DSO!!
Clarkston High School Performing Arts Center is a great location to perform. Clarkston is easily accessible by highway, with a wide variety of fine restaurants ranging from sushi to comfort food to fine dining for visiting patrons. Clarkston also has a fine music program which annually produces collegiate music performance majors, some which have performed in the Detroit Civic Orchestra. Come to Clarkston, you'll love it!

Clarkston of course because I live there, we all need more music, and we need to learn how to play well together.
Our Lady Star of the Sea would be the perfect venue. The acoustics are great and people in the area are extremely supportive of the DSO. It is also in a central location, to draw attendance from the metro Detroit area. It would be a beautiful setting.

The Mount Clemens High School Large Auditorium is a downtown, hometown venue within walking distance of all of its residents to literally offer a totally "Free" DSO Concert to the betterment and enrichment of all of its citizens within our community.

I think it would be fantastic if they came to the Yack Arena in Wyandotte. This arena is a great size with a fantastic community that is full of those that love art. It is also surrounded by many cities that could really use the influx of such musical talent so close to home.
SHAIN PARK would be a grand place to hear the DSO. The newly designed park and performance area look like they were designed with the DSO in mind!

What a gift you are giving the people of the winning venue, which I hope to be Clarkston. To share the magic and mastery of a professional orchestra is to open a whole new understanding of the role musicians and writers of music play in our lives. A recent musical, performed by Clarkston High School students, left me awestruck. The Orchestra, Actors, Vocalists, Directors and Costumes were so similar to that of a Broadway production, I had to keep reminding myself my ticket was only $8 and I was minutes from home. A DSO performance on the same stage would honor and encourage the passion of the young talent in our schools. Thank you for this opportunity. Clarkston anxiously awaits your decision.
Clarkston is a perfect place to showcase the DSO. As we are a bit further from Detroit, many of our citizens, especially the young, don't get the opportunity to see our grand orchestra, although the high school orchestra and music program is wonderful. Please share your magnificence with us!

The La-Z-Boy Meyer Theatre in Monroe County would be an ideal venue for the DSO! The theatre is a perfect example of what collaboration within a community can accomplish and located on a picturesque campus that continues to show signs of growth. The theatre is beautiful, well managed and located in an area that is PURE Michigan!
The DSO should play at Belleville High School.
Music has always been a strong part of BHS as well as the City of Belleville and Van Buren Township which surrounds it, and the BHS band program has been the centerpiece of the music scene. Next year, the BHS Marching Band will contain over 270 members as one of the largest ensembles in the State of Michigan, and the band program will again see between 300 and 400 students participate in one of the symphonic bands and jazz band. Most of these students have been playing an instrument since at least the fifth grade, and many will go on to play at a college or university or in a community band, carrying with them a life-long love of music while leaving behind the continuation of the strong tradition of BHS musical excellence.
The DSO is the centerpiece of the music scene in Detroit. How exciting would it be to have such a renown group of musicians performing in the remodeled Belleville High School auditorium in the midst of the celebration of the opening of the new school which carries a long tradition of music excellence from the old? I hope that DTE and the DSO will select the new BHS as a site for their performance so we can all find out.
St. Jane Frances de Chantal should be the host for the concert. It is centrally located, has fine acoustics, and is a joyful place to share the beauty of music.
Definately Anchor Bay High School!!! They have the best band and always have been the greatest band in the county through the years. The turn out would be immense!

Anchor Bay High School has a wonderful auditorium with amazing sound. Their award winning music program is phenominal. They have many varieties of bands to join and have a huge following of fans from their marching band at events and football games, to band concerts at the high school performed in their auditorium. A DSO performance at Anchor Bay High School would be an honor and greatly appreciated by the band members and entire local community!

The entire Mount Clemens community will embrace the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Hundreds of community members and their children are unable to go to Detroit and pay to see and hear a World Class Symphony Orchestra. Mount Clemens High School provides a beautifully renovated auditorium for the DSO to perform. I would thouroughly enjoy it if the DSO were to come to Trenton and preform. If your goal is truly to branch out to new audiences, this would be the ideal location. Trenton is commonly referred to as a "beer city with champaigne tastes." Perhaps we could persuade some area residents into a musical culture that is, indeed, "champaigne."
The First United Methodist Church of Ann Arbor would be a spectacular venue for a DSO Concert. The entire church community is anxious to embrace this marvelous opportunity! The rich ambience of this sacred space, its idyllic location (nestled in the center of campus), its strong support of the arts, and core mission in Music Outreach Events make FUMC an ideal site. It would be an honor to host the most distinguished Detroit Symphony Orchestra. We would do so with great enthusiasm!

The Meyer Theatre in Monroe is a perfect location for the performance from the DSO. The draw would be quite large from the outlying communities in MI and OH. The theatre itself is a draw with its excellent acoustics and other amenities for the artists and the audience. Monroe is excited to host the DSO as much as it looking forward to enjoying a wonderful night of musical entertainment!
The First United Methodist Church of Ann Arbor would be an outstanding venue for the DSO! The sanctuary is beautiful with great acoustics and ample seating. With it's downtown/campus location, students and community members alike could easily walk to the concert after enjoying dinner at one of Ann Arbor's many fine restaurants. The staff at the church is very helpful, and the congregation loves to make, listen to, and celebrate excellent music!

The La-z-boy center on the Monroe community college campus is a fantastic place to host the DSO! The college has a strong affiliation with music and the arts (the building is actually designed with specific touches of musical themes built in) and would be honored to host them.
The choice should be Monroe County Community College's La-Z-Boy Center. It will reach both Ohio and Michigan audience due to its location. On top of this the facility is unparralled with outstanding off stage and on stage logistics and arrangement. This should be THE choice of Detroit Symphony.

Shain Park is a great spot. There are certain logistical issues with outdoor concerts, but the setting is beautiful. The park is easily accessible and close to large numbers of potential concertgoers. Shain is also close to Telegraph, Woodward, 696, and M-59. I would go in a heartbeat.
With a great facility like Yack Arena, along with many of restaurants within walking distance of this venue, Wyandotte would be an extremely attractive city for locals and visitors to enjoy the DSO.
We love the DSO on the east side and Star of the Sea is the perfect place for the DSO to play. The church has wonderful acoustics, plenty of seating, parking, and lots of ears who love music.
