If hitting was so much better during the steriod era when both hitters and pitchers were juiced aren't the accomplishments of Roger Clemens, Randy Johnson and Greg Maddux all the more amazing even though Clemens may have juiced. Certainly you may have to say the latter two may have been among the greatest of all time given the era in which they pitched since they almost most certainly didn't use PEDs.

Could not be less excited by the increase in no-hitters. I'm in the "who cares " category.

Why is an increase in the number of no-hitters any reason to think it's less difficult? There are 4,860 chances throughout the year for starting pitchers around the league to pitch a no-hitter. Even if there were 30 no-hitters pitched in a single season, that's still far less than a 1% success rate (pretty rare if you ask me) and a pretty grand overestimation of a realistic amount of no-hitters that could be thrown in one season.
