In my opinion Armstrong cheated. If anyone has been an athlete at any level (and continue to participate in that sport into older age) notices the deterioration (mostly bone and muscle mass) of their body. Then you decide your next step. Now if you decide to cheat, and become an icon within the sport, I don't think it would be a stretch to lie. Look at Barry Bonds, look at Roger Clemens, look at Manny Ramirez, and look at Lance Armstrong.

The tests that detect doping have become more sophisticated so they retested his blood and now found it tested positive for using banned substances as well as blood transfusions. Also his closest friend and teammate Hamilton gave an interview on 60 minutes that said Lance and the entire U. S. team cheated. If Lance's story wasn't connected to cancer survivors, people might not be so quick to defend him now that they have proof as well as testimony from ten members of his team.

So, all the tests that he took - which caught a lot of others - were somehow beaten by him for all these years. Even after his cycling career was over, he became a triathlete and would therefore have to continue to be tested as long as he competed professionally.

Assuming he cheated, he would have to have been the stupidest cheater in history not to have departed pro sports when he had his 7 Tour wins in the bag. It's not like he needed the extra money or fame.

The USADA is tilting at a windmill that has long ago been torn down.

52% answered positive; to be sure, why don't you submit him to a lie detector?

I think that it should not matter what he did that long ago anyway. If they did not catch him then, how can they prove that beyond a shadow of a doubt. They can't testimony don't mean anything without prof. Leave that man alone. This is absurd!!!!!

No....as much as the sport is as corrupt, the individual needs to be given the benefit of the doubt. No evidence has been brought forth....just others in the sport who "claim" he did.
