I've been involved with computers since BEFORE Microsoft. I was witness to the way Microsoft became the power house that it is/was, by stealing ideas from others and then fighting them in court over the rights to the ideas (see Netscape, among others.)
Since computers were important to my work, I've used Microsoft and allowed myself to be fleeced by absurd things like Vista. But I've wanted to see Microsoft sink for a long time. Most everybody does, the only reason Microsoft is still here is that it is/was the only real game in town.
I hope this company finally sinks. They deserve to go through an extended hell for their arrogant posturing and outright theft of intellectual property.
So far, XP is clearly the best job they've ever done on an operating system, and they plan to stop supporting it. Fine job. Good Thinking!
