What eve they do do not let any of the main stream writers or directors get involved in this show, they will
turn it into a typical American TV cop show, like CSI etc etc. What makes this show so great is the down to
earth very flawed people in it, don't need pretty sexy women or men, jumping in and out of bed with corny story lines, hope the show stay just like it is now.

Oh, I hope this is coming back and that Holdner and Linden take on another great case like Rosie's death. For me, if I made sure I planned nothing for the nights this show was on that is saying something. If I missed it early I made sure I watched it later on. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!

I absolutely love this show. I pray it returns. Holder and Linden are awesome together. Please make another season. I have been waiting for the return. Please.

  • Mary Ridgeway - 12 years ago

I absolute love this show. It is the one show I made sure I was home to watch or to record it if I wasn't home. I actually found myself counting the days until the next show came on! I have NEVER done this with any other show. The Killing is so well written and directed and the Holden/Linden characters are so good together. Season 3, 4, .........please

I absolutely loved the show. I'm from the Seattle area and was entranced with the story line. I find it hard to find many shows that appeal to me. The acting and writing was exceptional. Please bring season 3 back. I didn't discover the show until the 2nd season. Loved, loved, loved it!

  • Bill Paris - 12 years ago

Definitely bring the series back for the third season. It is one of the best quality series currently running on any station. Well written and the characters are very well acted.

  • BB - 12 years ago

Although there were a few loopholes in the story, this series was amazing. I hope they make a season three, and of course it would have to have linden and holder, they were just brilliant actors and had great chemistry.
Same detectives, whole new case would be really cool.

Cancel, cancel, cancel. I liked it at first but then every episode a new face giving the impression that eventually they would add someone that was not in it from the beginning and had that individual commit the murder! Cancel it because it became boring and long, cancel, cancel, cancel. Cancel it like the installation of a virus on your windows PC! Cancel it like you went on a blind date and the person was hideous! Cancel it like you were desperate and went home with that blind date anyhow only to get their pants off to discover they have crabs! But most of all, cancel it like it was an AMC show called The Killing that was long boring and a waist of time! CANCEL, CANCEL, CANCEL!!!

  • Jordan c - 12 years ago

    Cancel the long boring show!

  • Maggie - 12 years ago

Bring it back!!!Great show but waited too long between 1st and 2nd season. Looking forward to a whole new story with the same great detectives.

  • Gloria Carpentieri - 12 years ago

This is the best show that I have seen in a long time. I stumbled upon it on Netflix and I am so glad I was able to watch both seasons right away because I don't think that I could have been able to bear the wait week to week. It was incredible and kept me guessing right to the very end. Bravo to the wonderful writers and cast! Please give us another season. I am hooked now and will spread the word about this show.

  • Jessica Percifield - 12 years ago

This Series should absolutely continue. Linden should get pulled back in. There was a body found. The new case could tie into the case she went crazy over--the slasher who left the boy alone with his dead Mother for a week. She was sure his father hadn't done it. This show has me hooked. I'm not ready to give up the characters now. I'm in it with them now. The Seattle background exactly how I remember down to the sound of the rain. You can feel the wet cold. The writing is excellent. The actors are perfectly imperfect...gotta keep it going. There's gotta be something worth looking forward to on TV these days or Netflix or Amazon--whatever. I want to see this one keep going.

  • Johnno - 12 years ago

Please, please please continue this show!! It's on of the best, well written programs on TV... hands down.

  • pam - 12 years ago

you've got to keep these two together. the gloominess of a rainy seattle also adds to the ambience of the show. I also think you could do something with the reservation out on that island. Those people are suffering at the hands of the "chief". she is heartless and greedy. I agree with doing one murder per season. Also, the mayor is getting into bed with the chief and the other guy who was an accomplice to rosie's murder. he probably has more dirt hiding in his closet. lot's of options. I hope they bring it back. give it another chance.

  • Emily - 12 years ago

OBSESSED. No other word can be used to describe how I feel about 'The Killing'. MUST have a season 3!

  • doreen - 12 years ago

This is one of the best shows on t.v. Brilliantly written, acted, directed, filmed. The music was AMAZING! Please don't sell the audience short; we really CAN use our brains to follow a story! Not everything on t.v. needs to be resolved in 45 minutes. PLEASE keep this show on the air. It is one of the very few I look forward to watching every week. Holder and Linden are great together. There is so much more to explore in their characters. Ratings on a particular night's airing do not indicate how many people are actually watching the show. Not everyone is a Nielsen family!

  • michelle - 12 years ago

The best show on tv. There is no other show like it. I REALLY hope there a new season. Please keep Holder and Linen. Give them a new case. I am hooked on The Killing. Can't wait till season 3 and can't wait to see what u guys do.

  • Cindy - 12 years ago

Please, please, please tell me we'll see more of "The Killing." Linden and Holder. Maybe a new case but mostly focus on the Rosie Larsen trial and continue to build the characters we already know. The effect that season 2's revelations would have on the show's characters will be as complex and profound as Rosie's murder was.

  • phil - 12 years ago

exceptional acting, dynamic plots, photography, setting...we were immersed through entire 2 seasons...sure there's an argument against giving us too much to process, but we don't mind being challenged...you showed us respect and invited us to work along with you...thanks, AMC...do not...DO NOT scare yourself off of taking up season three...and, raising your own expectations....!

I have to say I've loved the show from the beginning. It seemed to take forever for season 2. WOW what an ending. "Terry's" final scene was brilliant. ! I would love to see Linden and Holder back. Maybe have the next season delve into Holders background. Possibly have the case affect both characters in some way. (ie: drug overdose ... homeless teenager ... awful foster system /parents etc )
Both detectives have such mysterious "backgrounds" that there are so many directions to take them. I've recorded both seasons at the time that they aired so I could watch them twice!! I didn't want to miss anything! IN MY OPINION THIS HAS BEEN THE SMARTEST SHOW I'VE SEEN IN A VERY LONG TIME. PLEASE BRING THE SHOW BACK! !

Oh PLEASE!!!! You must start a new case for Holder and Linden!!!! They have the chemistry that I have been craving in a show for sooo long!!! They are the reason I became so hooked on this show. Sunday nights use to be awful, too soon to a new work week. Now I could not wait for Sunday night television to give me my Killing! I was in a turmoil all week to wait for my Killing, now I have to wait and see if it will be renewed? Come on Veena, give us all the addiction we crave! You have a way of hooking us on the drama that has been desired to breakout in television. The last time I was hooked on a show even comparable was Twin Peaks. But I would take my Killing over that anyday. We need to know if Linden can start a new relationship, or if the need to solve a murder is the only relationship she may ever know. I would like to see the Larsen's start over, and I never was told what happened to Mary! (The one who worked with Rosie, and met Linden in the barber shop). Will Gwen and Darren become lovers again? Maybe Darren could start walking again! Will Linden get Jack back? What does Holders future hold? I would feel content with the same cast next year. I really think we should reopen Lindens last case before Rosie, find out if the father of the boy was really guilty or not.

  • Teresa Muniz - 12 years ago

Love this show! It's kept my boyfriend and I anxiously waiting and watching each new episode. And we discuss the clues all week long before the next episode comes out. And then it starts all over again: the waiting and the speculating... Never had a show that has made us so involved in figuring out who the murderer is and how all the pieces fit together. And GREAT acting my Kinnaman and Enos. Their characters are the main reason that we watch. Please, AMC, bring this show back with a new storyline!

  • Dmitri - 12 years ago

I like the show a lot. If there was a third season, it should focus on the trial, the new mayor, and Rosie's family. Mitch should tell her husband about the runaway girl and the man she might have slept with at the hotel. It would also be dramatic if he told Mitch he kissed Terry, 'specially since she is one of the killers. That would be great, and I want Linden and Holder to get together. However, I don't think this should go beyond a third season (if even that far). The show was supposed to be a miniseries, and if it just became another crime drama, the title would not really fit anymore. The show, while it would be a good normal police procedural, just wouldn't be the same.

Hi, I'm a viewer from England and absolutely love this series.
At this point in time we still have the series running and I've just watched the episode "Off the reservation". Brilliant. I'm hooked and trying incredibly hard not to "cheat" and look at episode guides to find out what happens.
I know that the Danish series which inspired it had a second mystery and I hope that American tv will follow suit. If so lets hope they keep Linden and Holder together as their chemistry is an integral part of the show.
A big thumbs up America for producing another absolutely captivating series. Keep up the good work.

  • Brad - 12 years ago

Loved the show the wife and I couldn't wait until Sunday nights to c what was going to happen. Watched the 1st season on Netflix after a friend told me I was missing out on a great series rented it and I was hooked. Hope they bring back Linden and Holder for a 3rd season.

  • Jasmine - 12 years ago

This show was amazing I LOVE IT!!!! I would love to she another Season. The writers did a EXCELLENT job way to go. Looking forward on seeing Season 3

    JOB WELL DONE!!!!

  • Lenny - 12 years ago

The writing, directing and acting is excellent. Overall, it has generally reminded me of wonderful aspects of the writing of Charles Dickens; the details, subtleties, characters and intensities. I hope a way is found to to keep the detectives together, and, as well, to find material for Stan and his family.

  • Dee Williams - 12 years ago

I love this show, everyone was so believeable and so compasionate that I would count downs the days to watch the next episode. I was right about who the killer was at the very beginning. I even counted down the days for season 2 to start. I don't watch a lot of tv because there is never much that grabs and keeps my interest, the killing is number one and keeping the same cast is the best way to go, it would not be the same, I love all the cast and think they deserve to continue with a new case...I agree having Lindon and Holder solve a case from her past would be awesome. This show is my favorite and it seems like when I get addicted to a show and the cast producers take it away and then I start to think that they don't know a good thing when they have it...bring back the killing and it's cast..best show on tv!!
I love this show and the cast so much that I am planning on buying the DVDs when they are available so I can keep watching it over and over, I even told my friends and family about the show so they will be watching for it next season.

  • pam - 12 years ago

This is the best show I have ever watched and I never get addicted to a weekly series like this one. The acting is superb and it was so refreshing to watch this show. I hope there is a season three otherwise I will loose faith in amc. So much better than madman.

I have 2 b honest & say i pay 4 this show n i watch it on my lil ipod! Ive never done that b4! Holder & Linden are so great together! I would luv a new season! I want 2 c them as partners! I want a new murder that Holder catches. & ends up connected 2 1 of Lindens old unsolved cases! I would really like Linden 2 focus on her son, w/ the help of her very supportive parter that also needs sumthing good 2 focus on! This show has been amazing! I was so like wow w/ the season finale! I wouldnt mind a update on the otha characters but honestly im so happy how this last season was, i wouldnt mind just having the cops follow up on the next season. Plz! have another Season i would luv it!

The Killing "kills!!!" It's well written and very well acted too. It's a must see show that I look forward to every week. I an re-watch an episode again and again and always find new clues. It's a must to renew.

  • Jennifer Lutz - 12 years ago

The Killing was amazing. Holden and Enos are among the best on tv today. In fact the whole cast was amazing. Loved the show, the setting, the story - everything. Please keep them together, they deserve to become acting tv icons. I love that a show would dig into the characters and not be superficial, so I lived the show, literally, feeling more each episode. Just great. Thank you!

  • Patricia McClellan - 12 years ago

Keep The Killing on tv. Well done, and it's one of those shows that you make sure you are in front of the tv when it comes on.

  • Penny - 12 years ago

This show is so unique and especailly welcome in light of all the reality garbage on television now. I would most definitely like to see a Season 3 with Linden and Holder returning. AND, I agree with those who've said - one case per season. Yes, our attention spans are that limited. :) But, all-in-all, amazing show on every level. Thank you!

  • Rick Hansen - 12 years ago

It seems like the show could easily delve into the previous case, where Linden was institutionalized. This case was alluded to many times throughout both seasons. In fact, I thought for sure that this was the plan when, during Linden's brief stay at the Psychiactric ward a few episodes ago, she revealed that she thought they prosecuted the wrong the guy in that case...If she truly believes that, she's not the type that could just let that go..it seems weird that the writers would drop that fact in the script without plans to persue it. It would make sense that she might re-open the case..officially or even un-officially.

I agree with previous posts that this is the kind of high quality TV that I've now started to expect from AMC..Keep it up..Bring back The Killing!

Linden and Holder are great together! Love that show! Bring in new "big names".

  • mary - 12 years ago

linden & holder should pick up on the case that still haunts linden. the new series should begin with a dream linden has...the haunting trees drawn by the young child found in the dark closet...his mother dead for days in another room. their cases are dark therefore, location should stay in seattle. the larsons are done, except maybe stan's "experiences" could be brought into the writing. good series. stick with it!!

  • Jenelle Bunton - 12 years ago

Wow! What a brilliant interweaving of the instincts of two homicide detectives, politics, and the foibles of human nature that affected every character and their interpersonal relationships, ultimately ending with 'wrong place, wrong time, wrong person.' I most definitely would like to see a Season 3 and with both Holder and Linden at the helm. If we need something new, they should reopen the case that bothered Linden so much (death of a prostitute and the picture of trees her son kept drawing over and over) and see if there isn't a connection between Michael Ames or Mayor Richmond. I'd also like to see the 'new direction' Richmond will be exploring with Ames and Chief Jackson and how long Gwen can put up with it before it pushes her over the edge. We also need to see both Holder and Linden reconnecting with their families, with Linden making an effort to come to grips with her OCD-detective dedication so she has room in her life for normal relationships. And finally, it would be nice to check in with the Larsen family to see how they're coping in the aftermath of their double loss. Maybe Linden and Mitch could find common ground since both have had their share of anguish.
Please keep Holder and Linden in the AMC family for another season.

Linden and Holder made it believable and must see. If they don't get Emmy nods I'm calling Jamie! Bring them back please! :)

  • Josh - 12 years ago

This show is awful. How can anyone "love" it?

  • Guy Zapoleon - 12 years ago

Thought the finale was super satisfying well acted and a surprise with sister terry at the end A truly amazing cast and
shows what the show was capable of creating...there are so few shows that are intelligently written I'm rooting for a season 3

  • Sandy Blasius - 12 years ago

Please keep Holder and Linden together. They are real detectives. None of that cutsie wutsie stuff that makes your stomach turn. They are real and background is dark and foreboding. I like that, too. Keep it like it is and you have a winner. Don't start introducing new detectives. That always seems to be over-kill. Just loved season 1 and 2. I was never disappointed.

  • James Monroe - 12 years ago

The finale is how the first season should have ended. One murder per season. I feel just like lost at the end ...being led down a path and getting the wrong answer and wasting a whole stretched out second season to get to it..an accidental murder.. wow. The ending was all about shit happens to every one get over it and all politicians are elected on a platform they have no intention of following. Hopefully AMC will go to some where like Albuquerque, New Mexico for the next season and carry on with the Indian theme, but at least have some sunshine. All the shots of Seattle made me never ever want to visit there if it is that dreary.
Season 3...ONE MURDER = ONE MURDER SOLVED. My bag of popcorn only last one season!!!

  • Stephen Saucedo - 12 years ago

The Killing is the best dramatic series on the TV -- network, cable or premium. The chemistry of the two lead actors is definitely the core of the series, and the series' directors artfully used every moment of the two seasons to develop it. But now it's time for a change while the quality of the series is so high, one that avoides the risk repetition but still retains the two characters as necessary touchstones for the audience. My idea is a hhybrid – AMC divides the series into two separate programs:

Holder remains in Seattle and tackles a new case and mends the strains in his family relationship, while continuing to periodically cross paths with the two-faced new mayor and his equally sleazy cohorts, until solving the case and finally possibly exposing the holdover villains in the process.

Linden finally embarks on her new job in Sonoma where she too gets a new assignment (possibly linked with the haunting unsolved homicide of her past) while juggling the personal drama of raising her son, reconciling with her former fiance/therapist, and reconnecting with her ex-husband.

  • Pam - 12 years ago

I hope AMC has the good sense to renew the movie; it's one of the best on TV! Linden's intensity and Holder's quick insights lend crediblity to the crime film genre, and both must stay. I do think that one murder a season has the most viable potential and will attract a wider audience. I thought the character's were brilliantly cast in a web of twists and turns that made the series addicting!

  • Elicia - 12 years ago

I think that Enos and Kinnaman's performance was gripping as the crittics said. There are still many directions the show could take while still keeping the original charcters and setting. I think that the concept of prolonging the mystery and anticipation is highly original, and definately has the potential to be as successfull as other crime shows, if not more. You have a great thing going AMC, don't pull the plug yet! Give us another season of Linden and Holder- Do it for Rosie...

  • Sue Martin - 12 years ago

I agree that Linden and Holder make the show! The cast is overall great, but the main characters' issues & their dynamics (suspected betrayal/redemption/having each others' backs) make the show fascinating to watch. I sometimes got annoyed at being led on the wrong trail of suspects, but guess that's the nature of investigations. Anyhow, my husband & I are both "hooked"--& hope to see alot more of Linden, Holder & their supporting cast get the bad guy in the end!

I think they should go back to the case that Linden talked about in the physicist office of he little boy. Unsolved case. I call these two Sculley and Mulder from the X-Files.

This is the B E S T show on tv!!!!!!!!!!! I never, ever watch sit coms of any kind....we only tape movies to watch at later dates. I watched the first episode of Season 1 purely by mistake and was bolted over.....WOW....what a show!!! I made sure I taped it every week for the rest of season and kept biting my nails waiting for season 2. FINALLY it arrived and I got my hubby so interested we taped the shows on Sunday and had "Rosie Larsen Night" on Monday night. You guys have the best show on! PLEASE don't separate Holder and Linden....they make a great team and the rest of the cast are number 1 actors, also. My hubby and me are fans for life! Give them a new case and let them work their magic.

    Fan for Life......
