Actually, things were best before the BCS. Certainly far more interesting

It's all about money. As long as the teams get into a "playoff" based on votes, it's all phony. Run a real playoff system like all the other college football divisions do. Until then, stop calling any of those teams "national champions".

I agree with commentator Alan Robinson. There are 11 major conferences plus Independents. That makes 12. Thre are curently over 30 bowl games, some of which could really use a playoff system to generate any semblence of interest in them. These bowls cover every section of the country and teams could be matched in the bowls closest to them. But the current institution presidents, conference commissioners and bowl committes don't want to see that. Why? M-O-N-E-Y!!! That's why! I've heard every lame excuse they've given and none of them fly in the wake of seeing DII and DIII having a playoff system. The powers that be are so full of it that they should be looking tanned.

Hey Stan, think about what your saying in regards to the playoff making the regular season "MEANINGLESS". Is the NFL's regular season meaningless? I think it could be argued that a playoff system would make the regular season more meaningful. Aside from the fact that these teams will be fighting for their respected conference titles, they're also fighting for a playoff birth like every other team sport in this great country. Take for example Ohio St. vs Michigan St on the 1st of October this past season. Both teams had already lost a game at this point in the season and essentially were out of contention for the national championship. With a playoff off system in place, that game is far more intriguing and exciting not only for fans but for team and the game in general. I think college football took a step in the right direction with this new system. There's still some flaws and i believe that their should be more teams, but they are definitely making strides.

yeah... go ahead, add more teams and make the regular season MEANINGLESS, just like every other sport. there's NO reason to watch the regular season in any sport anymore.

All conference winners should be included in a playoff scheme. Until that occurs, you have the people with the most money getting their way. Period!!!!!
