I've come here from reading Andrew Page's excellent article on the same subject at http://www.betternation.org/2012/07/a-liberal-case-for-independence/. After reading two articles which exactly chime with my experience as a former Lib Dem party member finally convinced that nothing can change under the current system and that we can trust nothing we are promised if we vote No , I'm hardly going to vote 'No' or 'More devolution' in your poll, am I? Perhaps if it had been phrased differently: 'In an ideal (fantasy) world where you get exactly what you want from politicians and your faith in Westminster as an agent for positive change hadn't been systematically destroyed by successive supposedly Left / Liberal governments, Would you vote for Scottish Independence? sort of thing...

why yes, james, the poll isn't saying people want to be in the union, therefore it MUST have been hijacked. it couldn't be that you're used to reading polls that only survey readerships who're traditionally unionist, and return resulting results, and haven't bothered to consider that what you're used to seeing is inherently, and intentionally artificially biased.

    ofc not.

    *shakes head*

    James,
Would it not be more accurate to say that the result is not as you expected.

Over 100 votes and 89 for Independence?! I think this poll may have been hijacked...
