Who's Side Are You On: Pastor Jomo or Meek Mill?

I just finished watching this video and all I can truly say is.. I know nothing about meek mill's life besides the fact that my cousin produced his beats before he got discovered. As far as the song he created, I don't like it but I am not gonna judge or condemn anyone. WE as christians and people in general have NO right to judge anyone!!! We are not God or the judge and jury of anybody. Christians need to be bold but when we are we have to be mindful of how we are portrayed. I can't take either side of anybody's comments or actions. All I can say is from what is going on in our world and states and cities whether in philly, chester (my hometown) or even the state capitol times are gonna get worse before it gets better. If anyone knows what the bible says .. it's happening for a reason. I am a firm believer that God is not pleased and the people who are not followers of him will receive the wrath that is to come to this nation.

We don't have enough pastors or people in general who are willing to speak openly about holding our own people accountable for the negativity that is being perpetuated. Seems to me that Pastor Jomo is a intelligent young man who understands that when we say nothing, our young people take our silence as agreement and he, along with every other adult in our community, has the responsibility to speak up and protect our kids - whether it be in the educational, spiritual or musical arenas!

I find it interesting that the DJ says why didn't you try to reach out to Meek Mills, the song is already out. What good would it be to reach out to him now. Is he going to denounce the song? Of course not. I'm with the pastor. Please somebody tell me what Meek Mills has done in or for Philly. I'm not saying he didn't, I just want to know. Employing a few fellas from the hood does not justify him helping the hood. That brother is living in the hood. Everybody wants the Christians to just sit back & say nothing when the Gospel is blasphemed. We won't be silent.

i like meek mill but just because he help people in the hood do not mean that he should get a pass for that song it is positivity disrespectful and all of you know it .are you that ignorant that you would even think that this song is ok,i'll pray for him.

it's no different then drake and lil Wayne doing there song hell ya, f-ing right in a church or t-pain with one of his songs in a church, it's all about the money and what would sale the most. so stop watching it or buying it . other then that stop complaining about it and listing to it behind closed doors. the radio chose to play it so everything must be good , look at all the other rappers now . really look at them and listen what that say, it is about disrespect now in all there music but the are still getting rich off you, just thing about it for a minute.

i understand both of there views. but the things are changing daily in music and in the church, so who is to say what is right or wrong. stuff we was torte when we were children are different now , so is the church , it's all about the money, it is the rot to all evil right . well look around now we are living in sin city, so stop and think about it . nothing is true anymore so go meek mills get it anyway you can . he made it out of the hood by any means . the pastor belief is right to but look at the news, it is getting out rages . bottom line if you don't like it don't buy it, but it will sale and children will be singing it.

The brother Meek Mill is a creative dude, I give it to him, but to be so blatantly disrespectful to the religion shows what he thinks of the Christian church. I truly doubt that he would be so overtly disrespectful to Muslims that way and speak of a local mosque in such a degrading way (this would've been a very different debate, I believe). On the other hand, if the church/pastor has been hiding behind the walls and unconcerned about what is happening in the hood (murder, poor education, drugs, etc.,) don't speak up now because now the 'devil' is desecrating 'your' comfort zone. Don't get me wrong, Mill should've been talked to (maybe privately first), but Pastor should have been calling out the hustlers, crooked cops, and murderers who destroy our neighborhoods too, not just Meek Mill.

its not about what he does for the community...where is the line drawn where artists have more respect dignity & responsibility for those they're "helping in the community"....the words are bad enuf but to add God, chuch, The Holy Spirit in the same sentence as the disgusting language he uses is not free speeech....its disrespectful PERIOD....would he say those things to GOD's face. I DONT THINK SO....come on peeps..we dont have to put just anything that comes to mind out as music...IS THERE ANY BODY OUT THERE WITH CLASS NOT JUST FOR OTHERS BUT FOR THEMSELVES!!!

I saw the video and I am in 100% in favor of what the pastor said he truly in the interview showed decorum, was in control an proved his point very well but the dj i think really was trying to make the pastor look bad he was not neutral at all in the interview and I am glad we have pastor young like pastor jamo to take a stand and say what he said i applaud u on that interview job well done

I understand what Pastor Jomo is saying, but I feel that it's the Hip-Hop culture as a whole. I mean just look at the BET Music awards we had not too long ago... So people artists and other celebrities are talking about God or thanking God and their lives, actions, attitudes, etc are blaspheming God and His nature. I feel that Meek Mill isn't the bad guy, I feel he is just a project of the society that he is created from and who doesn't have enough sense to rebel against. Sadly, there are so many like him. What else I think is crazy, but is something that the Bible said would happen and that many Christians need to understand, is that whenever someone who is a Christian speaks/acts against the secular world, they will be criticized, hated , and looked at as the bully. That's just the fact. If this pastor was propagating the things of the world, then no one would have said anything... But since he is not... You already see for yourself.

I feel as though the pastor was wrong. He had no right to be slandering Meek name like that. He helps out with a lot of things in the community and helps with the young men in the neighborhood. I see him trying I follow him on twitter,fb, and on instagram he has a lot goin for himself and his family. That man should just leave him alone
