I wish the uniforms were made in the U. S. but I think they are nice. I liked the year we had cowboy hats at the winter Olympics, but berets have been part of our culture for a very long time. Wasn't that a beret that Mary Tyler Moore tossed into the air at the beginning of her iconic television show? I've seen plenty of photos of famous Americans in berets from John Wayne and Jack Nicholson to Jackie Kennedy. And they are worn by a variety of U. S. service members. The beret is just another thing that we have adopted and made uniquely our own. And yes I think our athletes would look great in baggy pants,T's and baseball caps, too. I get the shivers when our kids enter during the opening ceremonies and I know I will be grinning ear to ear to see their bright smiles. GO U.S.A.!!!!!!!!

I have no problem with the way these uniforms look. I think they look great! The problem I do have is that they weren't made here in America!

Outfits are fine - the polo pony way too big - nice big advertisement for Ralph Lauren.
Why is there even a visible logo on the outfit?

Has anyone advised the special branches of America's armed forces like the "Green Berets" that their choice of head wear is inappropriate, too foreign and un-American?

While I hope the outfits were at least made in the USA I believe we are over thinking the whole thing and we should just enjoy the Games. Senator Reid should be thinking about passing the healthcare bill, the jobs bill, and things like that not Olympic outfits.

US team uniforms made in China? Must be Romney's fault.

I think they are sophisticated and fashionable. It looks like a high fashion version of US Navy dress uniforms.

It's an insult to America to claim that these are too European. Why, because there is a trace of fashion and sophistication and we are steriotypically supposed to suck in that department? To say that they should be wearing baseball caps would be a complete void of fashion. Funny, can't remember the last time I saw a baseball cap in a high fashion shop or on the runway... of an American designer.

The biggest issue with the Team USA uniforms is that they're MADE IN CHINA! That's completely rediculous and un-patriotic! Americans at home should have been put to work fashioning our teams' apparel. I'm disgusted with Ralph Lauren and the US Olympic Committee for letting that happen!

You've got to be kidding me! Berets?!!! We look like socialists. Oh, I forgot, we are.

The uniforms look great. It's about time that Americans begin to look and think with a little more sophistication. This mentality and insecurity with Europe is absurd. The hats could be a little different. My BIG OBJECTION is that they are not made in AMERICA!!!

Next time, ask for a simple white jogging pants with a s blue t-shirt. That's America with no style at all.

I am disgusted with Ralph Lauren and this design (and I love his overpriced products!). I think that he should redo the entire uniform and have them expedited and shipped to the athletes this week at his expense. I don't think that athletes should wear them, they should protest the products. Then the athletes should have a giant bonfire with all the old uniforms made in china and use the Olympic torch to light the fire! There are far more American fashion changes that could be made to the uniform design that are classic and not "baggy jeans and big tee-shirts!" This should prompt the Olympic committee to open up the responsibility of uniform design to others that would make the uniforms in America. The US Olympic Committee should be ashamed of that decision!

Berets? Not very American and then add insult to injury.......MADE IN CHINA. I agree with politicans which is a shocker. Manufacture in USA and get rid of those berets. My would we want to look European? I prefer an American flair and that does indicate, baggy jeans and t-shirts. Ralph Lauren is one of my favorite designers but not a happy camper. I am confident American citizens would donate to dump the attire and manufacture new outfits in USA.

Do you really want your Olympics uniforms to look more American? Baggy jeans and big t-shirts vs. these Ralph Lauren uniforms. I'd pick the latter any day of the week. But then again, I'm European.

They should have been all made in the USA! Buy US citizens!
