    I hereby apologize to Mike Grant and Ray Rodrigues for creating blogs under the fake names of Steven Jacobs and David Lynch. Neither of my opponents have ever attacked me, yet since the beggining of the campaign I have attacked them both on a regular basis, making false claims and accusations. My attacks were not only on blogspot.com, but also my quotes to the News-Press. I do realize that if my writings on the fake blogs I have created were attributed to me, I would be liable in a defamation suit. I further apologize for linking these two sites under my own name on my blog, giving them credence while pretending at the same time that someone else wrote them.

    I admit that "Mr. Kyle Jax" has infuriated me, with his persistent challenges of my multiple online personalities and comments at every step of the way. But when the only thing I have is some online garbage to spew, it is very hard for me to accept a dose of my own medicine. Furthermore, I fail to recognize at every opportunity that the blog written by Kyle Jax while both hard hitting and without mercy, is factually accurate in so many ways. With all the links, images and videos it is so hard for me to see my own campaign tactics blowing up in my face. I truly regret not running a clean campaign, and treating my opponents with such disrespect. Had I been truly a gentleman, I could have lost this race with my dignity.

    Now, I will not only lose, but lose without my dignity, self-respect, and well over 15,ooo dollars when all is said and done. Please forgive me.

    I apologize for my scummy tactics holding fake straw polls and making fake blogs under the name "MrKyleJax." I also apologize for the persistent harassment I have conducted toward my opponent. Chauncey Solinger is a gentleman and deserves better. Please disregard the non-sense from my various aliases on here. I also apologize for voting for myself over and over in this poll in a dishonest attempt to pull one over on voters.

    Another repeating vote Chauncey comment. What is the matter? Afraid to let anybody read the comments below? The Solinger camp is so quick to insult and attack others, but any bit of information, which is verifiable especially, comes up and it gets buried in panic.

    Rodrigues and Grant are getting desperate. We're both copying all of the tactics of Chauncey Solinger, who is clearly winning the race. We even changed our Facebook from "politician" to "public figure" like Chauncey, because his support has been overwhelming. We're being destroyed in google search results, so we are making fake attack blogs. We can't touch Solinger. I think Ray will probably sink into a deep depression and overdose on hamburgers when he loses this one

    Tell me, Chauncey ol boy, how many endorsements do you have? You post that you are leading the polls, but which ones? Who did them? Were they controlled, or is the only one you have is that trumped up news-press poll (which was manipulated)? Please, tell us you have something more than fake blog posts and insulting the other candidates.     Chauncey Solinger is clearly the superior of the three. Time for fresh faces in the capital. Grant's way of doing business clearly failed the state in 2009, and that's why voters kicked him out. Rodrigues can't even get elected to school board.

    Anon, signs are great and all but every candidate has signs. Furthermore, every candidate has signs at a private property and/or business. By this logic, every region of ever part of the county is supporting all three without question.

    This whole conversation has turned into a joke (in all reality it was one already). There are multiple posts indicating that the online poll can be "rigged" per se (funny how only Chester admits to it, and the Solinger supporters act like nobody on their side has, and that it must be others because Solinger was "expected to have a large turnout"). Broad accusations without any fact, supposition without substance, the list goes on.

    The only one providing any proven facts or verifiable information is Chester with the verifiable link on the BBB report. Truth be told, posting in here has become a sport. Make a comment, ask for fact and a comparison of issues, and get spammed with a bunch of innuendo and accusations. If the immaturity in this forum is reflective of the maturity of the average citizen of Lee county, then we have bigger problem than we can fix. The only effort at rational, non innuendo and slanderous based commentary is Mike and Kendra.

    Luckily for everyone involved, the election machines do not have a clear history function, and there are probably no more than a dozen actual people reading this. Elections will not be decided on Facebook, or a rag tag corruptible online poll. Hopefully between now and then, whatever actual number of people reading this really are get familiar with all the candidates in all the races.

    Let the flaming begin!

    Solinger saved a kitten from a tree back in 1994. I liked him then! Don't know much about his politics, but he sure was gentle with the feline community! Solinger in 2012!

    As for his F rating with BBB, or his lack of experience, or his failure to garner any support from community leaders, or his shameful exploitation of photo ops with important public figures as if they endorsed him...wait where was I going with this. I got tied up in all of his flaws as a illegitimate candidate...oh yeah, CATS! He's such an awesome guy ya'll. And he's local! That way when stuff hits the proverbial fan we can just call him up on the celly and he will save us like he did those cats. Bless his heart!

    Voting for Solinger. Interesting to see the screenshot of Rodrigues having 7 votes mid day to reaching 3 per second for a two hour stretch while his camp was posting. It's he lacks scruples in trying to fix this election. Out of all the endorsed candidates in all districts, he is the only one who has voted for himself to this ridiculous degree. Solinger was expected to have a massive online turnout, as he has had over a thousand dedicated followers on facebook for months. He was advertising on FB months before even the congressional and senate candidate. Solinger can sense what direction society moves.     I hate to stoop to this level, but this is getting crazy.. It's clear a certain candidate and his camp are slinging negative statements against his opponents, so why not sling some back? Firstly, I find it despicable that commentators are chastising Mr. Rodrigues on purchasing a home and having the value plummet after the real estate market crash. The real estate market crash has affected every property owner in Florida, Mr. Rodrigues is a victim like many other Floridians.

    Oh and Janet, Chauncey, Keith Gannon, or whoever you are, I'd hardly consider Mr. Solinger "the most accomplished candidate" with a F rated, unaccredited, business according to the BBB. Mr. Rodrigues is a hard working family man, working to better Florida's future workforce and Mr. Grant has prior legislative experience and employs 130 Floridians from Collier to Sarasota counties. These two seem to possess the qualities I look for in a viable candidate.

    So Keith, as an officer in the National Guard, you obviously know that soldiers not only choose their MOS, but also choose what region they allow themselves to be promoted within. Why don't you reacquaint yourself with my previous post...

    We both know how flexible the battallions are in our Brigade, assuming you are ADA, but know that since you are an officer have truly no choice in your assignment because of your contract. Enlisted soldiers are not subject to the same regulations as officers and can change MOS pretty easily. Their poor choice in job assignment should not be a taxpayer burden, as suggested by "Colonel W." This was my original point

    I appreciate the suggesiton about the contact information. I did see him speaking once albeit briefly. In fairness, I believe all the candidates provide their contact info, so at some point my concept would be to pose the same questions to all three.

    I am confused by the comments about Solinger being "the hometown candiate" per se. All three have been here a number of years, so not sure if being raised here means that much in terms of job qualifications. At the end of the day, we have three people who live in SWFL (yes, I know about the relocation issue from Charlotte).

    Kendra, and this comment will apply across these forums I am sure...not exactly convinced that "everyone on board here" is not more than a handful of people using different names. I see the exact same comments everywhere...

    Chauncey Solinger has the youth and energy we need to get our politics to the next generation. It is critical that we invest in innovative, energetic leaders if we ever want to see things change for the better. Grant is clearly unable to run a viable campaign in his some town. Rodrigues can have all of the small group meeting experience in the world, but it doesn't mean he can problem solve. Chauncey has grown from the worst living conditions in our community to be a business leader here. He has proven he has guts and sticking power.

    Define a "real citizen" please. Please allow for the same latitude to Grant and Rodrigues what you give Solinger. Grant may be causing a stir with his residency, but he has been in office before. Further, not sure how we jump to the idea that Rodrigues is "not in charge of anything" or that the job is "on the job training". By that same logic, the same would be said of Solinger who has never held any type of public office, or been part of policy development in our community. Perhaps he could be in over his head based on your logic. Yes, he has a business but that is not the end all avenue to success in government.

    Public office has a lot to do with listening to issues, formulation consensus, and championing an idea. Can we point to anything in that direction? I will repeat, putting down other candidates does not cut it for me. I want to be impressed with a track record.

    P.S. "Nuff said" is disrespectful. It implies that any response after is invalid. Seems rather misplaced on a public forum.

    Janet, thank you for a response. Please, can we refrain from deriding barbs though? Not sure how Rodrigues all of a sudden gets branded as low-level, or why a buying a business outside of the area is a problem.

    When looking at service and formulation of public policy, it is hard to ignore that there are candidates with experience in this area, and one that does not have exprience in that regard.

    I can appreciate that Solinger found a niche in the market for himself to run a business, but I struggle with how training motorcycle riders will translate to operating within the House of Representatives. We have no evidence of building conensus in a public and/or political environment and witnessing an idea to fruition. This is not meant to be an insult, but rather a frank look at the resumes of the candidates in a manner that lacks malice.

    Ed, Chauncey is the most accomplished of the candidates. He is responsible for the motorcycle training of half of the riders in the district. Ave you ever seen a temporary license plate? State law requires third party vendors be utilized to produce and issue these tags. Only ten companies provide this service, and Chauncey's is one of them. He is not a low level state employee or a guy who bought a pre-existing business outside of our community. Self-made man in the purest sense of the word.

    Greg, Janet, Kellen, Jon. Talk about a conversation with themselves. I have not seen one independent thought, or anything about issues or history of accomplishment. All of it is about slamming Grant or Rodrigues. Why? Either because you (the collective) cannot offer more, or the only thing anyone is interested is insults because there is no substance to any of it. Funny how if you agree with the multiple versions of Solinger all is good, otherwise accusations flow about who is making posts. Sounds a lot like the pot calling the kettle black.

    It is partially true that I am only having a conversation with Mike. He, and I know this sounds a little crazy, is trying to debate merit and issues not insults and innuendo.

    P.S. Can anyone answer my supposed "other personalities" question about verifiable endorsements? With all the commentary, not one response to this question.

    I'm an officer in the Florida National Guard, Mike. Soldiers do not have the choice of drilling at their closest unit. Their MOS dictates their unit, followed by the needs of the organization. I am voting for Solinger, but the point of my post is to clarify the issue on state soldiers. On a side note, I seriously doubt he printed the signs himself. A local business probably printed them and made the error. Rodrigues has "District 75" on all of his flyers, and Grant forgot to mention what office and district he is running for while speaking in his commercial. Now that's what I call a serious error.

I drilled in Plant City, about an hour and a half from where I was living, but could have been in a unit 10 minutes away if I had wished.     Mike, half of Solinger's team is composed of veterans. Chauncey has met with state national guard officials and spoken with the leadership of our local VFW chapter. He has a firm grasp on the needs of our retirement community and the issues revolving around the broken VA system. He is adamant on improving the conditions of our state armories and getting our reservists stationed across the state a per diem. We have troops driving six hours to their unit each month spending their paycheck on gasoline. Solinger is addressing that issue.

    Solinger has actual solutions HE developed to generate a massive amount of revenue for the state. Only candidate to do so. Grant works under no-bid government contract in collier county and is anti-free markets. Rodrigues is a low level state employee responsible for managing minds at an institution that has failed miserably to do so and now must raise tuition rates 14% this year. All the while he buys a half a million dollar home and owes hundreds of thousands on it???? What kind of budgeting is that.

    Facebookfollower, Barbara, and Ray all link the Solinger website. I made my comments last night about a smoke and mirrors effort and it only seems to get worse. It is at a minimum entertaining. Having a bunch of Facebook followers is about as impressive as having the world's largest rubber band in your living room. If you cannot offer more than just a phony blog or trumped up personalities on internet forums claiming that everyone under the sun supports you then do not bother. As a point of order, does Solinger have any, and I mean any, VERIFIABLE endorsements from anyone? Anyone at all? Every post he makes says he has tremendous support. I repeat, it is all smoke and mirrors.

    I really do not care if "Mike" is for Grant or Rodrigues...does not matter. He is the only one actually making sense and not throwing out bogus or meaningless numbers.

    I agree Justin, Chauncey certainly has the best image, best website, and best attitude. He walked the entire July 4th parade route in his suit here in Bonita and shook everyone's hand. I was very impressed with Solinger. I've never seen Grant once, and Rodrigues can't find a suit that fits properly.

    Just to follow up, my agreement with Mike is in regards to the lack of viability on the voting poll. He has his candidate in mind, and not sure I am leaning that direction. Keeping that in mind, he makes some good points about campaign techniques being used.

    Wow, the voting has been explosive in this poll. Given the comments below about vote, clear history and repeat not too surprising.

    Mike's comments below nailed it beyond belief. The News-Press should have never bothered with the poll. Most of the internet stuff is just inflated and created by a select few looking to build an image of a campaign. Think statistics can distort the truth? Try an internet blog, comments under a news article, or a forum. I remember when campaigns were about debates, records of candidates public service, and qualifications. Not bogus blog posts.

    From what I have scene in the mail (the one I got was a joke) and online, the only thing Solinger is putting out is a negative message, or one filled with grand statements that cannot be verified. Does not matter who you like in these races, everyone should expect more than that from a candidate. How about sticking to facts in regards one's own ability and providing examples of leadership as compared to potshots at other candidates? Convince me what you can do, not the alleged failings of others.

    Mike, by the way thank you not only for providing a little reality to the situation, but your service to our country.

    Rodriguez looks like a viable option considering his work with FGCU, though Solinger is full of nothing but self-hype and glad-handing as he proclaims himself as the "front runner for State Representative" on his personal blog on blogspot. Though completely unwarranted, Chauncey simultaneously touts his own abilities while degrading Grant. Unfortunately for Solinger, Grant is the only one of the mix with any experience in Tallahassee and a proven track record to back up his campaign rhetoric. Now, we can all sit and discuss how we met a guy at a grocery store and liked his style, or how someone went door to door in a suit as if it mattered in the endgame; however, I will pick a candidate based on his abilities to make the district more efficient and financially stable through the creation of jobs and the cutting of wasteful spending...Michael Grant does this. Solinger is nothing but a snake oil salesman throwing wildly erratic haymakers at his opponents. Hopefully, those who took the time to vote in this poll and post comments also take the time to research the candidates without blinders...you might be surprised.

    Chauncey Solinger is the best man for the job. He's the only man running with a unique idea. Rodrigues just regurgitates whatever he hears other politicians say. We don't put state employees in office here in Lee County!

    The NP posted the candidate interviews in their endorsement article of Ray Rodrigues. He says in his that he walks door to door to meet the folks in the community and learns which issues are important to them. He does what he says. He's been at my door. He's a hard worker! Ray has my vote!

    Heard Chauncey "attempt" to speak at an event recently. Fail! The only thing he could do was throw jabs at his opponents. Pretty sad when all you can do is put down your opponents rather than speak to the issues facing this state and what can be contributed.

    I think you mean Solinger owns multiple homes lancelot......which is great for when Grant needs a home after his month-to-month rental is up or when Rodrigues has his $510,000 Stoneybrook house foreclosed on.......they can both move into Chauncey's place lol!

    I love how you can vote an unlimited number of times. Way to go News-Press for inflating both your importance as a credible news source and the numbers of this now pointless poll. When the three Solinger supporters get tired of clicking "Vote" and the citizens do their homework, they will see the best option clear as day. And anyone can sign up as "Florida Vet" and claim Solinger supports veterans...what political candidate doesn't support vets? What an absurd, blanketed, platitude! It's like saying, "I hate cancer", or "I'm for women's rights". Thanks Florida Vet for playing the role of Mr. Obvious. As a 12-year veteran of the Army, I defend my right to call you a moron.

    Chauncey has over a thousand local voters as fulltime followers and friends on his House Rep page. I think the press has done a very good job underestimating social media's importance in this election along with Solinger's ability to connect with voters in the district. We'll find out in a month.

    This may come as a surprise to those in the Grant camp, but the reason Chauncey Solinger is so popular here is because he is the only candidate ACTUALLY FROM HERE!! Why do you think every biz in town has his sign up???? It's because he's the local biz guy. He's worked with everyone here. He has seen these people day in and day out for years. These people are going to vote for him. Little political groups full of grey haired men don't elect candidates.......the average voter elects candidates, and that's just someone Grant has no chance of connecting with here

    Mike Grant is a sham and clearly has someone running up his votes here. If he were electable in his home town he'd be running there, but he's not, so he's trying to pull a fast one on us here. I'm sure he has a lot of excuses as to why he lost his last election in Charlotte County, but the fact is we don't want to hear them. We're picking someone that knows our community, and there are only two candidates that do *hint* *hint* Grant isn't one of them!

    Great question. There is a familiar theme on any online material with Solinger. Supposed random comments from all these varied supporters. Yet they say the same things, sometimes word for word. There is an anti-Mike Grant blog out there somewhere, and imbedded in it is a comment that practically is a word for word pro-Solinger comment from somewhere else. It is a smoke and mirror game via the internet.

    I could go on, but at the end of the day what is happening on the internet is usually a fascade.

    Chauncey Solinger is my candidate. I have two of his signs on my US-41 business, and I'm pretty sure he is the only candidate endorsed by local businesses. Just drive down Tamiami trail to see what I'm talking about

    I know my vote for Chauncey is unique. Our entire neighborhood supports him for state house! He is also the candidate supported by Lee County educators
