Do you think the new welfare restrictions are fair?

I think it makes more sense to say what assistance can be used for: essentials, only essentials. I agree that the government shouldn't tell people how to spend their money...but welfare is NOT THEIR money! It is other people's money. If their lifestyles are a bit limited, perhaps it will encourage them to find legitimate ways to make their own income. The assistance money should also be used to help them learn skills to be employable. Hair salons? Manicures? You've got to be kidding! No one needs a professional to be presentable. Give people the opportunity to be responsible for themselves and return their dignity to them. It is said that states must even have to pass laws. It's common sense to me...

I think it's right some people who need the assistance cannot recieve them while others are spending it on unnecessary things that you can live without. If youre not going to use them for living essentials then don't ask for them and find some other way to support your habits

I don't think that is right because as long as you do what you have to do as far as paying your bills no one should be able to tell you how to spend your money I don't think you should go to the casino's but you should be able to get your hair done and other things that you need to do to keep up your appearance and as far as stopping people from using ATM's in certain places is just wrong because anything could happen and you happen to be in one of those places you will be in bad shape if you could not get your money just say to get home
