yes I believe the statue should come down. I do not believe the children of the football teams should be affected in this case. this is not their fault....you are taking away their future & life of what someone has done.

I feel at this time they are using him as away to get away from the real truth. He did go to the up management and told them it look more like they told him we are not going to act on this so let it go. Now everyone have had there Boss say something like this to them at some point in there lives.
This man did a lot for PENN State and in the area he lived, It's sad every one is letting one thing cover up all the good thing this man have done over his life time there..... So sad.....So sad...!

Joe's accomplishments do not excuse his inaction in reporting and firing Sandusky. If he had been more proactive 10 years ago, he could have prevented the horrors experienced by all those poor kids. Come on Penn Staters, wake up and get your head out of the sand !

This man was complicit in children being raped and assaulted. There is no excuse for his statue to remain. A statue honors the person and he is without honor now because of what he did AND did not do to stop children from being repeated victims of a disgusting, vile man.

The statue was a shrine to the now tarnished legacy of Joe Paterno and to a sports culture that has become more important than a college education. It had to go.
