Arnold Palmers loss of a 7 shot lead on the final nine stands out in my mind. While Scott perhaps got overly aggressive using the driver coming in, it is understandable that he preferred 200 yd. plus second shot in a 20 mph wind versus 250 yarders. His swing got noticeably tight in the last few holes. Having said that, it says a lot that Ernie Els had the lowest score of the late afternoon players and was totally in control over the last nine. No condemnation of Scott here. Just accolades for Els.
