I saw the townhall meeting and was quite disappointed that no members of city council took any form of dissent into account. We (the citizens of Regina) voted these people in to represent us and they don't do what we asked them to do. The city has just invested $14 million into the stadium for upgrades, so I have a proposal instead of knocking it down: make it a heritage site. For anyone who is a rider fan, this place has held many memories and of course history. We had the grey cup in both 1995 and in 2003. We will be hosting it next year too. Why does Pat and Brad need a new stadium when that's the last thing we can afford?

Render unto the Private Sector that which is private, and unto the Public Sector that which is public.

Rider Nation is not a municipality.

In other words, if the CFL wants a new stadium, let them build one and pay for it themselves with ticket sales. Public money is for necessary public utilities, not optional private recreations. Next they'll want a 300 million dollar operahouse.

This is something the city needs. Mosaic Stadium is old. It is by far the worst stadium in the CFL. The Riders, Rams and Prairie Thunder have been playing games in a very outdated facility. My opinion to all the haters out there....if you don't like it, don't go! I, personally, will be buying my season tickets to sit in the new stadium as soon as they go on sale.

Now what has Fiasco hoisted upon us?? We don't have the cash. How did he borrow on our behalf? There was no chance to vote on it. It is not something we need, just something Pat wants. Next we'll have to borrow millions to build a 10-story statue of little Pat.
