Sound off on reprimand of Pennsylvania Muslim judge who based ruling on Quran
He is being persecuted and is a martyr for Allah
He was right to apply Shariah to the case – the atheist blasphemed Muhammed and Allah's law is supreme
The judge said he based his ruling on the lack of evidence a serious crime took place, not on Shariah – I believe him
The judge's reasonable attempt at a "teachable moment" about tolerance and unnecessarily provacative speech unfortunately backfired against him
Judges make bad decisions all the time for all sorts of biased reasons – I don't see this as any kind of Shariah-trend to worry about
The system worked – a judge's misbehavior has been brought to light and he has been reprimanded. End of problem
A private reprimand is inadequate for judges who misuse their authority – he should have at least been suspended for some period of time
Judges sentence offenders to school or rehabilitation for DUIs, domestic violence, drug offences and other crimes – this judge needs to attend Constitution school
Clearly, he's unfit to wear judicial robes and sit on the bench
Unfortunately, as America's Christian heritage is eroded by the secularists and as the population of Muslims increase, these conflicts will grow
While the judge was reprimanded this time, I fear, long-term, the momentum is on the side of those who wish to penalize criticism of Islam
This is why we need anti-Shariah legislation in all 50 states now
