To me, there is no one that deserves the title of the "Best Photographer of All Time". All of these 55, in their own way, could be at the top of the heap. But there are others that are not mentioned here that are deserving as well. For me, there are several past and present photojournalists that inspire me.
Enjoyed the list but no Helmut Newton or George Hurrell makes me question the politics of the list

These two were without a doubt on anyone's list and wonder how you can miss them

Wow....you are right when you saw you want to court discussion. No Helmut Newton. No Herman Leonard, the peerless jazz photographer. I will always be an Ansel Adams advocate, but let's face it...in your voting, he has the top listing. You can't help it if your last name begins with an "A", but talk about election rigging...
