Johnny Wallgame has been the surprise of 98 Mile. He is the favorite now to win the whole thing.

Anonymous, you obviously don't understand English. Chris' point was not that lyric structure and good flow are irrelevant to Hip Hop battles. His point was that they are irrelevant to THIS Hip Hop battle. This is a group of old white guys trying to make insult raps about each other. If this were the actual club from 8-Mile Wallach might have been penalized for his poor structure and flow. But this battle is about entertainment. Tanguay's rap was not entertaining at all. Wallach's was. That having been said, everyone is entitled to their opinion that's why it's a vote.

To Tanguay's rap, I say "Dump it, dump it, dump it!!" Wall-game wins again!!!

CHRIS: You know zero about Hip-Hop... you just said who cares about lyric structure and good flow? Well clearly you lack any knowledge whatsoever. Let me guess... You obviously listen to mainstream only if you don't care about structure, and delivery. And actually I live in your moms basement...

P.S: tell that Bitch to clean up it's hella messy dawg.

    Jonny Wallgame killed it

I almost wanted to vote for Tanguay, just to see how many votes he could get up to...but alas, I'm recognizin' the skillz of one Jon Wallach.

  • SportsHubFan - 12 years ago

    Yeahhhhhhhhhhh... Tanguay was better.

Anonymous, get out of your mom's basement. Who cares that Wallach's flow wasn't perfect. He was entertaining and was dropping some huge insults. That's what this contest is about. I could care less whether a bunch of middle-aged white guys have perfect lyric structure. And did you hear Tanguay's beat-boxing? We're all lucky Rich put some 2pac over it to make it passable.

I agree with "Anonymous". Based off of what a rap battle is, Tanguay took it based off of flow, and cleverness. Wallach may have taken the comedic aspect, but that's such a small part of a hip-hop battle rubric. Tanguay won 100%.

You guys know nothing about Hip-Hop battles. Punchlines pay a huge roll in it, but more importantly flow and consistent bars. Almost every one of Wallach's bars was too many syllables and his flow was terrible. Tanguay's bars weren't that funny, but they were clever if you know anything about either of them... Also his flow was on, and he delivered everything well.

  • Mike - 12 years ago

Wallgame killed it - He's going to a tough out in the next round. Maz versus Wallgame would be an excellent matchup.

  • Craig - 12 years ago
