Would you consider a shared data plan?

In theory, I would. But never as implemented by Verizon. Today, on their legacy unlimited data plan, I pay $30 additional per month for all the data I can eat. Under their shared plan, it's $49-$50 for only 1GB. Plus a monthly $20 just to have a smartphone vs a dumb phone... so you really pay for data twice per smartphone. Anyone paying that much is rich, stupid, or both.

If these became reasonable, then sure. That means a flat fee per GB, since that's now unbundled. With carryover -- I don't buy 20 gal. of gas and accept only getting 10 gal.... if I pay for 2GB, I should get all of that before they can bill me for the next 2GB, whether that takes a day or a year. No extra fees just for using a smartphone vs. what I'd pay for a dumb phone. Users really need to reject these very greedy new plans and demand reform.
