Looks like the public wants it just look at the poll. The problem is a few people get in a stink about somthing and want to make it bigger than what it is. You people need to realize that they will do site surveys and make sure its not on anything historical. All around the work they build on historical sites. C'mon why worry about the past when the future wont remember you. So when the sun explodes one day are you going to protest that? it will destroy the earth and you shockoe Bottom. oh my and I guess traffic will be really bad then because there will be no roads. YOLO people dont waste your time here making people hate you have fun with it. Got to go your wasting my anytime minutes....

I think building the stadium is a bad idea. Yes, there are plenty of locations that can be considered sacred in Richmond based on its history. However, The history of African Americans is often seemed irrelevant and unimportant in the development and progression of this country. The NAACP has a responsibility to preserve what the ancestors of African Americans and other minorities have experienced and worked for. He is simply following through with what the organization stands for. Secondly, the roads are horrible in Shockoe; maybe someone should make that a project. There are other locations that haven't been deemed historical sites that should be considered as possibilities.

I live in the Bottom and love it - BUT - traffic already stinks, and parking is HORRIBLE! To those of us that live down here - BUILD SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Would someone please tell that jackass to get over himself.The whole bottom is not sacred ground.And at this point in time if you banned construction for whatever reason,you would never build a damn thing again.Every inch of land has some kind of historical value of some kind to some one.Maybe he should spend some time to change the name of the organization he represents.After all NAACP is so much out of date it is not funny.I think he dreams up something just so he can stay on the front page of every stupid newspaper that will give him 5 min of time.He does not represent the African American community.He does however represent his own ego.I just want to be there when he falls over it.
