What grade would you give the Nuggets for the trade?

After Bryant and Pau Gasol retire or out of the Lakers in 2 years, Denver still sucks against the Lakers with Howard on it. I don't see the Nuggets as contenders in the next 5 years. Maybe pretenders. Cheap owners. (Maybe not as cheap as Bobcats owner Michael Jordan). But nevertheless, still cheap.

Great trade for the Nuggets. They got to dump contracts, a good defender and highlight dunker. They made the Lakers better for two years. The Lakers will have to shake things up again then. And they will. Nash, Gasol and Bryant will be on the career decline, but in two years (with $$ and more relative youth) Denver should be set up nicely for some free agent runs and possibly to overtake LA then. LA has the big four for two years. They didn't hand them championship keys for 5 to 7 years. As Howard proved in Orlando, he needs the type of players LA will lose with due time and age.

I can't believe Denver was a player in this 4-team trade. Remember how the Cavs pulled out of the potential trade that would have sent Howard to the Nets - for the single reason that they don't want to help an Eastern conference opponent (the Nets) to really get that strong? Well, the Nuggets just did that. They just made their opponents (Lakers) a lot stronger than they were before. How do you expect the NUggets to beat the Lakers in the next 5-7 years? I think they did this more as a salary dump. Cheap owners. No wonder Carmelo Anthony wanted out of Denver. I pity the Nuggets fans.
