I like to know what's been added. About half of the time I check the comments, just to see what people are saying about it. Most people are complete morons, so I don't really value their comments, but I still like seeing what's being said.

Auto updating is how perfectly good apps end up scrap. Just look at what has happened to the Facebook app.

there are too0 many buggy apps. I read the early adopter's comments before deciding to update.

I do a manual check on a daily basis. I have enough data capacity for my tab 10.1 to do auto updates but on my galaxy s2 & s3 I set to manual - as part of the battery saving config..
