Are schools or parents responsible for teaching children to say no to drugs?

I believe the reason you're getting so many votes saying Parents are responsible is because your survey gave an either or choice. Do the survey again, this time give three choices...parents, schools, or both. My guess is that all those folks that voted parents will vote both. We as parents recognize that teaching kids to say no to drugs starts with us but because our kids spend so much of their time each day in school and with their friends, we also know that the schools can have a major influence on our children. The responsibility to teach kids to say no to drugs, starts with the parents in the home and should be continued and reinforced by the school. If the kids believe there is a problem in Vermilion, there's a problem. Drug testing that is mandatory for students should also be mandatory for all teachers, bus drivers, school security, administration, anyone working with children, in my opinion.
