While Margulies was exceptional last season, Claire Danes sold me in every scene in Homeland, not just her "manic" episode. Claire has a way to pull you in, and actually believe she is a CIA agent, who was stationed two years in Iraq. I just rewatched the season of Homeland on bluray, and caught so much more in facial expressions, dialog, and connection to every other character.
Here is a category in which I feel pretty comfortable casting a vote. I watch all of these shows except Harry's Law. I voted for Margulies and based on that last episode of Homeland, I would give Danes a close second. Margulies always does an excellent job, and she does it for 22-23 episodes a season. That is significant.
