I am here on behalf of all of us humans. The TRUE fact of the matter is, we are hanging on to Michael Jordan being the greatest purely out of respect. Basketball player to Basketball player, there is no possible way we can continue to act like we have seen anything, anything in this world that has been CLOSE to LeBron James. Jordan won more. In a different era. Times were different. He was also crowned the slam dunk champion for dunks that low level players like Gerald Green would have DEMOLISHED back in the day. Things have changed. LeBron is too big, too strong, too physical, too good of a rebounder, on ball defender, too versatile a player. "Who is the better basketball player" is the question people! So look at the different categories of basketball and break them down. Then chose whether you think MJ or LBJ is the better in that category. After doing this there is no doubt that you'll come out with LBJ on top. You could argue that MJ is a better shooter and has better ball handling skills. You could say MJ has that killer edge that all basketball players should have to win and has superior post play (which I'm not so sure of anymore). But, that's it! LBJ is better in all other categories. LBJ is far superior in defense with him being able to guard 5 positions. Superior all around offensive player in that LBJ can play 4 positions easy. Superior passer, rebounder, and finisher at the rim (nobody gets "and-1s" like Lebron). MJ definitely changed the game forever and his flare and personality goes great with his accomplishments. Lebron is a freak of nature who dominates the game when athletes are actually more athletic than in Jordan's era.

If it's LeBron James at 27 vs. Michael Jordan at 27 ... LeBron James all day long. James has accomplished more than Jordan had at the same age. Although each was the key driver of a championship team, James has 3 MVP's at 27 to Jordan's 1, and James also took a weak Cleveland team to the NBA finals. Jordan did not make a trip to the finals until Pippen, a top 50 player in NBA history, came along. James is a superior passer, rebounder, and defender, and a more efficient scorer. Jordan scored more points, but also took more shots.

He is Magic J and MJ together in a single body and anyone who does not see that isn't watching the game of baskerball. He will win multipe championships how many I don't know but not as many as MJ. MJ never had Durant, Kobe, Rose and big boy Dwight in his way. Lebron has got his Robin like MJ had Pippen in Wade but the NBA has several teams with solid 2 superstars on them now. Damn the Lakers got a team with 3 solid superstars and 4 if he learns how to play in the playoffs. Next season I predict that the world will truly see how good this man is going to be with a healthy Wade, an aging but deadly Ray Allen, and a reliable Chis Bosh.

Something I don't think people realize is that if Lebron James wanted to he could average 40 points a game each NBA season. His other stats would go down a little but he could if that was important to him. Kevin Durant averaged more point in the finals but who did what they needed to win? I am pointing this out because for some reason people think this is makes Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan the best players. Jordan is still a beast without the high scoring but take that away from Kobe and his other stats are mediocre.

People need to understand something about Kobe Bryant he is a great basketball without question but he is not someone to compare to Michael Jordan. He should not even be compared to Lebron James. Kobe Bryant is a great player that has been luckier than any other player in the NBA in terms of being surrounded by the best supporting cast. This has lead to five championship which in turn has lead to a perception that he is better than he really is. Like I said, he's an amazing player. At best though maybe in the top 10 all-time. It stops there. Scoring 80+ points in a game is insane but it doesn't speak the same as someone who can play perfect in every category of the game like Lebron on a daily basis nor does is mean he's as good as Michael Jordan.

He has his prime years directly ahead of him but his all around game is the best I have ever seen...and I watched Jordan obsessively for his whole career. Jordan had the killer instinct and incredible shooting but I'll take Lebron's basketball IQ, unselfishness and freakish athletic ability. Lebron James. If you are a true basketball fan the idea of throwing this guy under the bus is absurd. He has his prime years directly ahead of him but his all around game is the best I have ever seen...and I watched Jordan obsessively for his whole career. Jordan had the killer instinct and incredible shooting but I'll take Lebron's basketball IQ, unselfishness and freakish athletic ability. I understand wanting to hold onto Jordan as he was, up until now, the best ever in the modern era, but if this guy keeps doing what he is doing - and there is no reason he wont (and will probably get better) than its Lebron hands down!

Air jordan before his prime was way better then lebron. 3000 points in a season ,defensive player of the year about 10 scoring titles ummm 6 championships, his shoe game is better than lebrons game plus he stayed and built the bulls to be the best team ever like a 72-10 season he never lost in a finals unlike lebron who left to go play with dwane wade who I think has a way superior game than james. Stop using lebrons weight and height as a excuse of game
