It's high time the Academy gave Dois her due. Without her, the movie industry would not be what it is today. She set the bar high for humor, decency, and talent, not to mention her natural beauty. Few, if any, other actresses have met her standards. The is the best all around American actress, singer, and dancer on stage, screen, radio, and TV. No one else has come close to matching her show business talents. If the Academy means business, it should give her the honorary Oscar. If she doesn't get it, no one should. If they finally give Doris her due, my only question will be: "What the h*** took you so long?"

Doris, has been way overdue this award for years, she stills holds the record for the most all time box office queen and held it four years in a roll, No other actress or actor has done this including Liz Taylor, Debbie Reynolds, and other big names and that record has never been broken. Hollywood has over looked this American Icon for years now, And so has the Academy. Time to step up to the plate Hollywood and pay this lady her due. She is still going strong at 87 or 89 just released another wonderful album this year "My Heart" Now tell me who else has given more to the entertainment field than this wonderful lady "Doris Day"?
