Dodging the press corp and pandering to culturally popular, demi-news organizations, isn't an amateurish act. I'm sure he's receiving this advise from those close to him. Why would he want serious questions going into a closely projected election. It's obvious his campaign would rather his time be spent appealing to a larger segment of his base in a more sympathetic and sentimental way.
If I'm not mistaken, didn't Clinton evaded the press corps prior to his re-election? In hindsight, would you call that an amateur move?
