The difference is that Pronger chose Edmonton and then cut and run, and Edmonton booed him a lot (and, yes, I know there were lots of FALSE rumours about the fans doing other things). The Ducks fans are putting way too much thought and effort into how to react to this.
The Penner thing was even more ridiculous! If the Ducks/Burke were so angry about him leaving, shouldn't they have just put down a qualifying offer before anyone could put down an offer sheet? I'm pretty sure they had full control of the situation.

Pronger left and they won Stanley, The hockey gods say the future for the Oilers is set in stone!!! Stanley will be ours during the time Schultz plays in Edmonton.
