Here comes the spiderman - would you try the Tarantula or not?

If God didn't intend us to eat spiders, he wouldn't have made them out of chicken skin, mmm!

I have a rule for myself, I'll never refuse to eat something I've never tried before unless I honestly think it's going to harm me. Spiders? I've seen less tempting things to eat, to be honest...

Of course, I'm typing this sitting in an air conditioned office with a baked potato for lunch...

I'm constantly amused by the fact that cultures differ so much regarding what is "food" and what is "gross".

Snails, frogs' legs, seafood, durian, all sorts of pickled/fermented things (cheese, beer, saurkraut...) modified cow sweat (milk!), kopi luwak... the list goes on!

Simon did you or did you not eat the rest of your Tarantula or was this just for the sake of the photo?

Err... is there an option for 'not on your life'. - I was barely able to read the rest of the blog- what with both eyes being closed. I count myself as unfussy as they come but that is just...well.... words fail me....

I'm pleased 100% say NO but then there's only 1 vote - mine! Does God want us to eat spider?!

Perhaps it's good and humbling to know that we've all got our limits somewhere. I think I'd have discretely wrapped the fried tarantula in some tissue and disposed of it somehow, bypassing my gastric apparatus.
