Happy we're not brain surgeons !!! Let's play the best talent that gives us the best opportunity to win!!! I don't care if Flynn played behind Rogers for 4 years... If he's the Seahawks starting QB... GO OUT AN PROVE IT!!! What is up with you people that just want to hand him the job scoot free??? What happen to earning what u get??? Tjax earn the job last year... I don't hear no one saying "Tjax was the starter last year... Flynn should have to win the job over him" And Tjax played fairly well considering he had basicly no trainning camp...Had to learn an adapt to his team mates on the fly, an heard all year about a possible predecessor eventually moving in after the season... So what if we payed to get Flynn... So what about his potential... Flynn, if you want the job... Take it from the hungry, smart, football savvy rookie... If your truly the unquestionable starter of my Seattle Seahawks!!!

Flynn is just the Best choice....He has far more experience and training then Russel Wilson....

He played behind perhaps the Best QB in the NFL for 4 years....and While he only started 2 games he no doubt had opportunities to get Some playing time along the way....

He has a Mistake Avoidance Style ...That is Ideal for the run first Offense that the Hawks want to play....he is deadly accurate and you will see that when he has more time with our receivers....

Russel Wilson....Has great promise...NO EXPERIENCE....Cannot stay in the pocket and Deliver....Generally runs out of the pocket to the Right....and Defenses will quickly pick of on that and force him to stay in the Pocket where he has a difficult time finding targets....Strong arm Can Scramble....NEEDS SEASONING....LOTS OF SEASONING....

TJ...Maybe a good Backup....but not for us....He will be gone soon.

Steve Kelley is the best sports writer the times has. Once again he is right and to the point. He states the facts and writes true articles like this that true sports fans can find little or any fault. It makes sense Seattle needs to settle on a quarterback on game three and stay put. Both are good but to play one against the other at this point is not good for the team as a whole. Coach Carrol may well need a safety net if he cannot settle the quarterback issue. Time for the team to rallie around one quarterback- a split decision this week will not help our situation at all.

My take is that Flynn is the guy the coaching staff was banking on winning this competition. As camp and these preseason games have wore on, Russell Wilson has become impossible to ignore. I read a comment from a fan on another site that I feel summed it up perfectly..."Flynn is a game manager and Wilson is a game changer". I truly feel this is a wide open competition still going into game 3 of the preseason. I don't believe the staff expected this. If Wilson performs as he has in the first 2 games Friday night, I think he earns another start in the final preseason game and has the chance to be named the starter in Week one.

That said, even if Flynn starts the season, Wilson is going to see playing time this year. Pete Carroll eluded to this after practice yesterday during his press conference. Someone asked if he had ever thought about a platoon system @ QB to which he said no but then went on to say that sometimes having such unique skill sets at the position like they have now may warrant that.

It's up in the air at this point. Wilson is to talented and posed at this point not to be under center this year. Regardless if he gets the start Week 1 or not.

As much as I love Matt Flynn, I would really like to see tarvaris start. I know it sounds weird but here me out. He may have gotten off to a rough start last year, but the fact of the matter is last year in the second half of the season he won five out of eight games and doing so with a torn pectoral muscle. He was also his first year for the Seahawks so he was pretty unfamiliar with the offense. Imagine a perfectly healthy tarvaris that is now familiar with the offense. They could easily be an 11-4 team. Besides, he only has one year left while Flynn has three. The hawks really have nothing to lose and everything to gain at this point.

The smart thing to do is start Matt Flynn, no one would be to upset if Pete Carroll went there. While Russell Wilson has proven to be a good QB, he's still young and should earn it like Flynn. Flynn earned this shot not Wilson, I love Wilsons potential though! He's gonna be a legit player I think. Flynn should start unless we're not winning football games and then Wilson should be the #1. This is a tough decision but I think Matt Flynn will be the opening day starter with every single factor in place. Flynn if we, Wilson if we're Suckin!
