Hi John - No, all fair points there. The Sox will always be a big market team and will have the opportunity to sign FA's this off season. However, that list of names isn't especially impressive. Widely regarded to be a weak FA class. That being said, the Sox will probably be the biggest FA players considering their newfound financial flexibility.

too bad this reporter didnt talk about all the money they will get over 260 million. giving them the oppurtunity to sign many quality free agents next year. here are some stars that will be free agents next year. Josh Hamilton, Curtis Granderson has the oppurtunity to stay with the yankees next year or go in free agency, brian mccann, carlos ruiz, kevin youkilis, shane victorino, Lance Berkman, Roy Oswalt, RA Dickey, Kyle Farnsworth, Kyle Lohse and many other players. Im not saying that The red sox are going to sign all those guys but clearly they have options
