Well you cannot blame him.I read he wants to spend more time with his real family.He has two children.Soap life takes alot of time.Life goes on and things change.Hope he has the best in life.

Really going to miss Steve Burton as Jason. GH won't be the same without Jason; therefore as difficult as it will be to recast, in my opinion it is a necessity for the future of GH to recast. Recasting will always leave the door open for Steve Burton to come back when he's ready without being a return from the dead or prison storyline. This will also give the writers time to allow Jason and Sam to bask in the knowledge of truth about the baby being both Sam and Jason, before another catastrophe occurs. Best wishes to Steve on his future endeavors.

Oh I can't imagine the show without him. In fact, he's my favorite not sure I will continue watching. Can't stand all the different directions it goes. Too many from the other soap butting in making it months to see any closures. Kate is making me nuts, Johnnie is off his lid and I can't stand Todd! Not enough regulars doing their thing. Just all over the board! But taking off Jason will most likely make it my final days too. Too much dragging on and on about nothing. Losing its appeal thats for sure.

He will be sorely missed. I was hoping Jason & Sam would get back together and get their baby back! Sadly it looks like that's not going to happen. I can't see them replacing him.
