K, you can't believe how much that is appreciate by the authors of the blogs to which you subscribe! No question, I am proudest of having paid subscribers...I feel like that's the most direct relationship between what I write and the compensation.

Olaf, that sounds like a good idea for a post! Let me think about it a bit, but I'll put it in my mental hopper. :)

For the basic answer, I like that the PDF goes into my personal document library at Amazon when I have them convert it...that makes it available to other devices, and lets them store it for me.

I pay the monthly subscription even though I read the blog via web browser on my Fire. I do this for four blogs as a voluntary contribution to the authors.

I would love more info on sending documents to a Kindle. Not clear what is best: convert a say pdf with calibre or the word convert in the email subject line? Also what determines the name of the doc on the Kindle? Also discuss difference Fire versus eink?

    Thanks and gradulations.

Lois and Robert, thanks so much for your kind words!

Lois, I'm impressed you've subscribed for that long! That makes me feel like I must be doing something right. :)

I subscribed to your blog 2 days after I got the Kindle keyboard almost 3 years ago. Then I got the "Fire" thanks to you. Amazon is lucky to have you and so are we!
