It's my understanding that this will not give you license to consume gluten willy nilly. Rather, it's to be used in conjunction with a GF diet, to lessen symptoms in case of exposure to gluten. Like eating out at a restaurant or something. I am grateful that drug companies are interested in the celiac market, as it is ever growing. But I'm not optimistic they're going to be able to "fix" this disease.

I agree with you on more testing. The most troubling part is the "fast track" with the FDA. This is what brought us things like aspartame and its cousins. And maybe it's due to my celiac, but there are very few drugs on the market that I can tolerate, so I am not interested in another. I feel that the only "fix" is eating gluten-free, so I am happy with that -- forever. Call me old-fashioned, but those are my thoughts!

Whoa......you don't have enough info yet, so stop making up questions. When the study is done, you'll get all the info you need. It's much too early for "questions".

It sounds like the Gluten Flam and Gluten Defense type of medicines that are already on the market in health food stores. Maybe they are effective enough that the mainstream pharm. companies think it is worth getting into the market. I'd love more info. Thank you for finding this.

I have the same questions you have - is it daily? What are the side effects.
