Totally deserved it. Learn to be a lady and you won't get treated like a man.

Lets just say the obvious: This "man" did what any "man" wearing a $1000 shoes and $1000 Gucci FANNY pack would do - He bitch-slapped his fellow woman for being a bitch - and than ran off like most women do after slapping someone.

While I've never slapped/hit a woman, It sounds like Erin brought this on herself by just being mouthy. I get the feeling she won't be throwing fanny packs at anyone any time soon and may even tone it down a bit.

Its pretty obvious she has let her mouth run unchecked by all of her co workers bashing on her. Spoiled brats get spankings.

Correction-a man never hits a lady. It's ok to slap the piss out of some snarky stupid female. As a matter of fact, it's your duty.

She got what she deserved; Women do not and should not get a free pass to abuse anyone and everyone and then hide behind their femininity. Bullies come in all shapes and sizes and in this case the bully was named Erin Austin.

I wasn't there, fair enough. But the idea that women can do anything and the rule is 'You never hit a woman' as a defense just doesn't work for me anymore. Maybe if there was a little more concern for mild abrasions women would think twice about being nasty for little cause. Erin, you make your living with your mouth, couldn't you do more damage with quick wit? My God women, he claims to spend a grand on a fanny pack, it should have been like shooting fish in a barrel. While I understand the queen ran away, I bet you cold have taken him in a fight. All in all, you now have a bit more seasoning and many people who had no idea who you are now do.

The rule is, keep your hands to yourself. SHE DIDN'T. She created the circumstance in which she got bitch-slapped. I have no sympathy for her. The guy's got enough problems- He's wearing a fanny pack for Christ's sake, he didn't need her denegrating him to make herself feel superior. The only time I'd get violent with anyone is if they got violent first.

Come on people....if every jerk was allowed to get smacked there would be nobody standing:)

why is this "man" wearing a fanny pack????

  • Erin Austin - 12 years ago

    Oh believe it!!

I'll admit I was bustin' this guys balls a bit. I'll admit it wasn't nice of me to toss his prized Gucci fanny pack.

However, the facts are that he came up to our table. After talking to us for a minute I asked if he was wearing a fanny pack at which point he decided to tell us how much he spent $1000 on his shoes and how his clothes were all high-end. I personally don't care how much money he spends on his clothes. (I shop at Ross)

At which point I tell him we don't care how he spends on stuff...I tell him that maybe he and his fanny pack should go and give the EXPENSIVE fanny pack a toss. That's when the smack heard around Houston happened.

I don't think this really happened. It's a good idea, not to believe everything you hear on the radio, especially in the mornings.

He approached their table. He put his fanny pack on their table. Erin threw it off of the table. He committed a criminal act in striking her. She was a jerk that is for sure, but I don't know how anyone could justify that type of response from him . . . at least in this country and especially a man against a woman. He should of walked away a long time before the fanny pack incident.
We, otherwise, are condoning the wife abuser philosophy of "she deserved it" or "she made me do it"
The picture also indicates the striking was beyond a slap. She has a cut on her face.

  • Sherry - 12 years ago

i absolutely believe she deserved it. He didnt punch her in the face although if I would have seen her do that to him I probably would have said something to her. No its not ok for a man to hit a woman but its not ok to treat people like crap either the way she did. and honeslty she wasnt acting like a woman now was she? She was acting like a spoiled snotty little 14 year old.

I think the point we are all missing here [at least you] is that it is NEVER OK to hit anyone! Not a woman, not a man, not a child. NEVER> It solves nothing. It makes matters worse, always, and it's not appropriate. Everyone has the right to NOT be hit in this free country of ours.
But..... what bitch! Keep your mouth shut, even if you don't agree with someone else's choice of attire, or accessories. Who does she think she is? The final judge and jury for everyone who crosses her path? She's not. And she needs to act liek an adult, and if a public personality, professional in all situations where others witness her actions.

Erin should not have acted the way that she did it was not lady like at all but never ever hit a woman you always have that choice to walk away. I have a son who is 29, & believe me he would never hit a woman he was raised to have respect for women & treat them with dignity & in the event you feel that can't be done leave. I was also taught never to provoke a man or for that fact others, but always defend yourself!

  • Vey Bean - 12 years ago

NO! Never slap a woman but I have a feeling he was not a "MAN" I would say he's in the closet!

  • Dog - 12 years ago

I agree with the statement “If you’re going to act like a man, prepare to be treated like one."

  • Steve - 12 years ago

NEVER hit a woman... push her down the stairs lol

  • Cat - 12 years ago

Why did this guy plop his "GUCCI FANNY PACK" up on Erin's table in the first place? He should have just left it around his waist or at home in the closet!
