My biggest wish: better battery life was answered. The numbers looked similar to an iPad, which I can use all day and not run out of juice.
So faster, thinner, aluminium back? All good. Other features will come through software. I can actually think of any other feature I want in the hardware.

The iPhone 5 is the evolution and refinement of a revolutionary product. I will take continued improvements over redesign any day. Obviously you can't please everyone as has been witnessed by the outrage expressed by the public and pundits regarding the new iphone lightning connector. It's smart, compact and logical. Yet you would think apple had betrayed its customers by changing this outdated cumbersome piece of technology. Through all the years I have owned apple products I have enjoyed and suffered the frustration of technology progress but in the end the changes have made my phone, television and computer experiences more convenient and enjoyable. And to those complaining about the price of an adaptor. Most spend more money monthly on coffee drinks. All that said I will miss the passing of the iPhone bumper. It was a minimal case that did not detract from the design yet it offered enough protection AND non slip capabilities. I think Apple has done a great job (again) and as usual will continue to drag the public kicking and screaming into the future.

Great, I can't wait to get one!
Some people are never satisfied. If you gave them "this" they would want "that' if it was
" these" they would camplain that it didn't have "those". I think Apple has raised the bar yet again
and nobody else comes near. When IOS6 comes on stream we'll be flying. Roll on.

Telcos in my country trying to sucker us big with new rolled out LTE plans. Up the price by $10 and down the data limit from 12Gb to 2Gb. A double edge sword to make more money and still stop people making phone calls using cellular. nope sticking to 3G.
Wat a great invention. Androids are not even close

Not buying a phone that doesn't support the top three carriers. This phone is a step backward. Same reason I didn't buy an iPad with 4G.

Revolutionary changes to the iPhone are mostly unlikely at this point and given that pundits have told us about the new features for months, there were no surprizes left. Still it's a great phone but since at least some of the improvements can be had on my 4S with the iOS 6 upgrade, I'll stick with my current phone until I'm off contract and my carrier gives me a subsidy to upgrade. 12 months to go - iPhone 6.....
i think what ruins it all is the leaking of parts i think all the build up of not knowing what its going to be like is a big part of it(like christmas) but because we all know months before its released what it looks like it takes the magic away. people will always buy them because at the end of the day its hyped up that much.

I voted with the "I'll buy one, but it's not everything I hope for" only because I will not give a top rating to a phone I haven't physically see yet.

I think the problem isn't with the new features, it's that everyone is still expecting that apple will add features we don't expect. If no one knew about the bigger screen till the release, it would have been huge, but since we already knew all the changes, we didn't get as excited. No, they didn't add NFC or wireless charging but they did add everything we had expected.

Was expecting some big change like when we had face time for iPhone 4 and Siri in iPhone 4S.

That big screen and LTE makes iPhone5 a must have upgrade, even with my 4s.

Water-proofing is all I see missing really. NFC is not close to real world use yet.
