Do you think the driver accused of blaring his horn should be cited?

In Colorado, it is legally okay to cross a double line to pass a bicycle. In fact, it allows motorized vehicles to give cyclists the required three feet. Also, seeing as Dirk Friel was one of the cyclists, it seems extremely unlikely that they were riding inconsiderately or erratically.

as you saw in the video there was one car that went around the driver to pass, he had more then enough room to pass. Mike your an idiot! there was no traffic being held up. after the other Car passed him, he was the only one. its people like you mike that are a waste of human space. And lets look at saul comment about bikes must obide by traffic laws , yes this is true, so bikes have the right to be in the middle of the street and be treated like a car ( according to our state law) so they pulled over enough for him to pass. ( trust me I hate bikers with a passion) but this was just Common sense. This guy was just being an a** he shuld have been given several tickets from what i saw.

I love people who say the car could not pass. They were on a completely empty road, during the entire video there was maybe one vehicle in on-coming traffic. Are we really such sheep that double-lines override common sense? "I would pass, but the double lines tell me not to". If he was in such a hurry, he could have easily passed by. He was just being a shithead.

The bicycles were not even in a bike zone. A car cannot cross over a double line. Who knows what happened 2 minutes earlier. Maybe the bikes were in the middle of the road and blocking him to piss him off.

In Europe bikes are the norm and have more rights than cars, and no one dies of obesiety....

This is beyond common sense poeple give it a rest. He could have passed and instead he was being a jerk. They are professional cyclists. The bikes they are riding are too expensive to be riding on the paths (and they were probably riding too fast to be on the paths!) Would you take a porsche off roading to train for a track race? No. Use common sense and stop hating.

Bikes on roadways must abide by all traffic laws. Most don't follow these traffic laws , but expect the right away from vehicles and even pedestrians. I agree, that that video does not tell the whole
Story. Was the guy on the bike paying more attention to the road or his phone? Is cell phone use exempt from bikes on roadways. Vehicle was in a no passing zone. The Cyclist could have pulled over ; allowing the vehicle to continue, thus deescalating the incident . Instead he choose to continue . Just as responsible for creating a traffic hazard.

It is a double line road and you can't pass on double line and guys on the bikes are holding up traffic , bicycle should NOT be on the road with cars !!!!!!

why can't these guys use the bike paths that the government force us to pay for in tax dollars they never obey traffic signals when they drive on the roads and you don't know what happened prior to this to provoke this older gentlemen to do this to these guys so I believe there is 3 sides to every story yours mine and the truth .
