I recall that Rachel went thru a short time of a few days, with, what she was convinced of, of not having any direction for her future because she hadn't heard back from NYADA. However she did cherish the reality of having her boyfriend Finn for emotional support. From this last episode Fin confesses that he has lived and continues to live that same hell for months but believes the male in a relationship must be the strength and exude the confidence that is required for the relationship to be successful. His distance and lack of communication was necessary for Rachel to not discover his plight. This also he confessed to her...her reaction was to break up with him rather than support and help him. This is not the Rachel that Ryan created!
