Are cock rings considered too sexual to be worn in public settings? (Even if they are worn for purely decorative reasons?)

Mark, I think your analogy is true. We believe the naturist movement is supposed to be about acceptance without judgment, so it would be pretty superficial and wrong in our opinion to discriminate based on one's appearance. And yes, I agree it would redefine the nudist community..perhaps in some places it already has.

EVIL BE....TO HE WHO EVIL THINKS !!!.....the human body is Dear God's free gift to man & woman, not to be ashamed of and hidden, we were all born naked and we shall exit the same way, with, or without addornments. The aborigines are in no way ashaned of the rings they wear at ceremonies !!! NUDITY IS, AND ALWAYS SHALL BE FREEDOM OF BODY, SPIRIT AND SOUL !!!

I just wanted to add to my last comment:

In terms of the "it being too sexual" argument... A 'cock-ring' or other genital adornment is only sexual if it is either being used during sex, or you yourself relate it to sex. Some people would consider being naked to be overly sexual; that's why nudism isn't socially acceptable in the first place. If these 'ring-wearers' are out having sex in public then you might have an argument, but to say that the ring itself is too sexual is just like a non-nudist saying being naked is too sexual.

Thank you Jim/Joanne. I think that's the real key you just pointed out. If people start discriminating within the nude community, it starts to cross a line that redefines the community itself.

People outside of the nudist community discriminate against nudists for what they don't wear; if nudists start discriminating against each other for what they do wear then it's really no different than a non-nudist having a problem with a nudist for their lack of clothing. That kind of discrimination is what a lot of nudists seek to escape from in their nudism. People take comfort in the feeling that they can be free among other nudists without irrational judgements over something as silly as a person's lack of clothing; if nudists start to judge and discriminate against people for what they do wear, then I know I would feel a little less comfortable being naked even though I myself don't wear any genital-jewelry.

Thank you for the comment Jim & Joanne! Your views are totally in line with our YNA naturist philosophy based on acceptance. I'm glad to hear of a family-oriented club that doesn't discriminate based on appearance including genital piercings.
    Cheers!

My wife and I are members of the Sun Ray Hills community in Wisconsin which is a family oriented nudist resort and a few of our members have noticeable genital piercings which has never been a point of contention because, for the most part, we believe that our members, as people, have the right to self expression which is one of the greatest things that we've found in this lifestyle. There are no 'perfect hard bodies' in our world, only acceptance for who and what we are, no matter what age, race, size or diability. There are no attitudes in our community because no one hides behind the facades of the 'world' outside our gates -you are who you are, what you are and you're accepted for that, in friendship and comraderie and commonality.
