i much prefer easy to read books at the advanced age of 71 I hate to slog thru one now as ihave a vast cloud of books TBR and who knows if i can ever get to them all. At present I am trying to get thru one from my church reading list and actually so far have not found any Christian redeeming factors. its about the background of 3 Korean adopted children. its called The Lucky Gourd Shop and thetr father beat his wives and daughter as only a son was important. I may remeber it but I surely do not like it. Luckily our book talk tea is tomorrw and then it too will reside in the Amazon cloud. oh and it was not free!

only the reader can determine whether a book is great. and sometimes the reader can take a long time to realize how great a past book really was.
